AI Is Exposing the Lies in Crypto
For years in crypto, all these influencers and publications have been promising all these things with all these blockchains, and nobody has had time to fact-check them. Nobody has been able to take all the time to read all the documentation and see: is what this founder is saying about their project technically accurate? Does it make sense? AI is changing all that. I think this is a really exciting time for crypto, because AI is already exposing all the lies in crypto, and I believe only ICP is going to be left standing, because only ICP has the actual technology to really stand out. The newest ChatGPT Pro model, with the level of research it can do, is able to see that. That is a remarkable step in AI, because up until now a lot of the AI models have not been able to sift through all the garbage put out there by humans. But AI now has so many resources that it can go look at all the documentation for all the blockchains, read what they can all do, and then decide: oh, this one has some incredible technical capabilities, and the rest of these don't really matter.
As proof of this — this is not just something I'm pulling out of, well, wherever I'd pull something out of — if you go to CryptoTechCap.com, that is the kind of research AI can do. I asked it to rank the top 100 blockchains, go through all their documentation, and rank their technical capabilities. Boom — it does it. I said, come up with 100 questions so that they're yes-or-no, objective questions. Then you can check the actual documentation against those questions, and from there you have an objective standard to say: based on the actual documentation, what can this blockchain do? And ICP is the benchmark, because nothing else has these technical capabilities.
Influencers Are Becoming Irrelevant
This is the future of crypto research — not people watching influencers. Influencers in this environment are becoming irrelevant, because when you can just go get the best answers from AI, you don't need to listen to someone who's going to come on crypto Twitter and tell you how this blockchain or that blockchain is going to be the future. AI is now able to cut through all these people presenting dishonest information. For example, you have projects like Near saying they're the future of AI and being tagged as an AI coin — but have the AI look that up and see if it makes sense. The AI goes through the actual documentation and sees that all they're talking about is tokens incentivizing work that happens off the blockchain. The AI can tell the difference between having a blockchain where you can actually put AI on the blockchain, on the infrastructure, and secure it, versus having somebody create a token and pay somebody to do something that says it's with AI. This is only going to continue to get more and more clear.
We're in an environment where AI is becoming a source of truth and, at the same time, an opportunity for fantastic deception. If you don't know what AI is and you don't know what crypto is, the AI can be used to manipulate you. But up to now, crypto has depended heavily on a web of lies, deception, confusion, and people simply not taking the time to do their own research. To be fair, that's because the barrier to doing your own research was very high. Do you know how much research it took me to find that Internet Computer Protocol was truly different from everything else in crypto in 2023? It took me months of looking at hundreds and hundreds of different coins and their documentation, learning how all this stuff worked, looking at influencers, trying to make sense of their metrics, and then fact-checking the things they were saying. One of the ways I found out that ICP is the truth is that it was the one coin I could easily see influencers lying about — when they were actually brave enough to talk about it at all, they misrepresented the details versus what I could see for myself.
That was difficult in 2023. It is so much easier now. Anyone with a ChatGPT Pro subscription — I wish they had an affiliate link so I could get paid for all the times I've recommended it — anyone with that $100-or-more-a-month ChatGPT subscription who asks an intelligent, thoughtful question will crank out research like this. It instantly shows you: wait a minute, ICP can do all this stuff, nobody else can do anything even close to it, and yet if you look at the actual market caps, it's valued like it's a nothing project, all the way down at the bottom. AI can show you this data, and you can easily recreate it yourself — I've given you everything you need on CryptoTechCap.com to recreate it yourself.
Here's how I created the multiplier: I said, okay, find what its market cap should be based on the technology, what it can actually do, and how valuable that is to the world, versus everything else. The results come back full of red numbers. In my view, that is the future of crypto — AI able to identify that this one project is a thousand-X outlier while almost everything else is red, or maybe has a tiny little upside. That's off of AI research with a little bit of intelligent human guidance, and we simply didn't have this before. I believe there are dark times coming for everything in crypto besides ICP — and to be clear, that's not financial advice, it's my personal opinion. Obviously, all I personally hold is ICP, because in my view the truth is against everything else in crypto.
The Truth Against Bitcoin and Ethereum
The way I see it, the truth is heavily against Bitcoin and Ethereum. The truth against Bitcoin is that the actual blockchain can hardly do anything, and the narratives don't make sense. When you look at the technical reality of the Bitcoin blockchain, all this stuff has been built "on top of" the Bitcoin blockchain, but in my view it's effectively stealing the value of the Bitcoin blockchain. When you're swapping "Bitcoin" on an exchange, they're effectively capturing the value of the Bitcoin blockchain — they've sold you on the idea of the blockchain, and they're taking the real value from you instead of it going to the Bitcoin blockchain itself. Same thing with Ethereum. There's all this stuff built up around Ethereum, and all this hype about things like XRP, Hyperliquid, and Solana, but when you look at the technical reality, they can hardly do anything. Then you wonder: why do we need all these coins if they can hardly do anything? It doesn't make any sense.
When you do AI research, this is what people are looking for, too. In my experience, people who want to do serious investing are not looking to put their money into 50 different crypto coins and hope one goes up. People looking to make serious money investing are not looking to buy Bitcoin when it's 50 percent down from the top and they've already missed most of the upside, and they're not looking to buy Ethereum a few percent down from the top. Certainly, some are. But what I think you should pay attention to is: what are the smartest, most thoughtful people doing, and what process are they going through when they research? Because those are people like me, way ahead of where everybody else is. And if you follow those people, you're going to get to the destination — finding a fantastic opportunity — way before everybody else does.
Fact-Checking the Founders
I'm just telling you, this is the direction we're going as AI continues to get smarter. Take all the BSing and lying: you can watch some founder — Sui's co-founder, Near's, Bittensor TAO's — talk about all this stuff, then immediately put it into AI and say, fact-check this. Is this physically possible based on the documentation? The AI will say no — this founder is making promises the documentation does not support. And there's a moment when you realize almost everybody else in crypto thinks you're a fool, thinks you're naive, is just lying to you, doesn't care about you at all, and only cares about making money for themselves. The whole system is set up so that even the people you might argue have more integrity are driven by self-seeking rewards. There are certainly some crypto influencers with some level of integrity, but they optimize on metrics. If they make a video about XRP and get 20,000 views, and then make one about ICP and get 2,000, they just sit there cranking out XRP videos. Not that they have any real conviction — or maybe they think they do — but they're cranking out whatever videos get the most views.
Meanwhile, people are pulling away from even looking up videos or posts about crypto at all, because once you realize AI can instantaneously cut through all this crap, you don't need to sit there and watch some XRP hype video every single day when you can just ask AI: is anything real going on here?
New Money Will Fact-Check Before It Buys
The big problem for the existing setup in crypto is that new people are much more likely to use AI to fact-check things before they get in. Back in 2021, you couldn't do this, and therefore people didn't have any other option. A lot of people today still don't even think to use AI to do research. But again, I'm just early — I check all kinds of stuff with AI and just test it. As we keep going, more people will start using AI to research crypto before they even buy, and they're not going to get fooled into buying that first wasteful, useless altcoin. That means it's going to be harder and harder in the future to find naive fools who just throw their money into coins based on shallow information. It's going to be harder and harder to get new money into crypto, because the people on the outside are already extremely skeptical — and those who do come in are going to take the time to use AI to fact-check the things being told to them. They're even pulling away from watching crypto content in the first place.
That's where I believe ICP is prepared to shine, as almost all of these other lying coins fade. Maybe Bitcoin isn't lying at this point — it's just an ancient blockchain, and all these other people have essentially been like vampires, making all this money off of selling Bitcoin to people who don't understand at all how the actual technology works. But AI can now explain it to you, and that is amazing. Somebody thinking about buying Bitcoin can literally say, "Dear ChatGPT, I heard about Bitcoin today — explain to me how the Bitcoin blockchain works." And I believe that when people start researching crypto through conversations with AI, they're going to be less likely to buy, precisely because they asked the AI to explain how the Bitcoin blockchain actually works.
AI Cuts Out the Liars in the Middle
Now you've cut out the liars in the middle — the ones telling you how Bitcoin is the future, with the Bitcoin Standard and all this stuff — because AI will just cut straight to what you ask. It'll say, well, the Bitcoin blockchain does blocks every ten minutes, and so on. Then somebody's likely to ask, well, how old is Bitcoin? Oh, it goes back to 2009. And then they'll say, well, isn't there anything newer than Bitcoin? What's the modern version of Bitcoin? The smarter the AI gets, I believe it'll go straight to the Internet Computer. It'll say: Bitcoin's innovation was being the first cryptocurrency, Ethereum's innovation was being the first smart contract platform, and the biggest innovation since then has been ICP building the entire full stack on the blockchain. Once you get to the point where somebody finds Bitcoin and goes straight to AI to talk about it, the AI will tell them about ICP — because based on the documentation and what it can actually do, in my view ICP is the truth.
I think new people coming into crypto are not going to go into Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XLM, or Tron at all. The AI will guide them straight to what I see as the source of truth in crypto. Now, that may not happen for everyone, but right now all you need is a relatively small percentage of people to be that thoughtful. ICP is so small that even a relatively small percentage of people operating like this could keep money out of the rest of crypto and put it straight into ICP. In my opinion, no coin has as much to gain from its price pumping as ICP, and all the rest of crypto has that much to lose from ICP pumping. Because instead of people even checking price charts in the future, if something like an ICP pump happens, they may literally just see ICP on a coin ranking website and immediately go to AI and say, tell me about ICP. And the AI will talk about the technical capabilities and all the things it can do for the world. The AI will not sit there and complain about a price chart the whole time.
Why I Believe This Is Bullish for ICP
To me, this is extremely bullish for ICP — my personal opinion, not financial advice. The development of AI is one of the best things that can happen for ICP, and I believe for the world, to get it discovered. And it's one of the worst things that can happen for the rest of the frauds, the liars, the misrepresentations, the over-promising and never delivering, and the shallow, paid influencer hype. ICP is the truth, my friends. You're in the right place at the right time.
If you want to talk more about ICP, or you want help with anything on ICP — like getting your Network Nervous System setup done properly, getting everything staked and following so you're sure you're earning your rewards, or taking your ICP off of Coinbase — or if you just want to bounce ideas off me, schedule a one-on-one call with me. If you've got a book idea, you want to make your own videos, or you want to share something, you can talk about that with me too — as well as dating or anything else.
And if you want more of the videos I'm really passionate about, along with some of the best of what I'm talking about here, you'll find them on my ICP Crypto playlist, and I'm doing daily vlogs on the Jerry Banfield Show playlist on my @JerryBanfield channel. All right, I'm out.
