As soon as I finished filming my video course, one of my partners, Tomas George, immediately set up his own Airbnb experience to show you.
The short version is that Airbnb is a website where people mostly go to book places to stay like if you are looking to visit where I live in St Petersburg, Florida, you can look on Airbnb, as my friend Tomas George did, and find a place to stay instead of looking for a hotel.
Airbnb is now offering what’s called “Experiences” where you can book and experience, the idea being while you are traveling, although you don’t have to be traveling, you can live locally and book the experience as well.
Let’s take a look at a couple of these examples here and you will see why I’m so excited about this. I have a full course on this called “Airbnb Experience Creation: Host Events for Business, Art, Health, and Entertainment!” that you can see here: https://skl.sh/2C5OCwR
The course is an hour and 11 minutes long on Skillshare.
If you would like to enroll in it, will you please use my link because you will feel great enrolling in the course, getting your experience set up and knowing you will help me earn ten dollars if you are new to Skillshare.
My friend Tomas George used this course to create his own Airbnb experience. What you see here is an approved Airbnb experience.
Tomas is an electronic music producer and teacher. He has a workshop called “Create an Electronic Song Workshop.”
The workshop is three hours. You meet up with him and get to make your own song on Ableton Live 10 or Logic Pro X. He has got it in a studio where he can take you in an actual music production studio in Leeds in the UK, and it’s 150 pounds per person. This means that Tomas could earn up to 300 pounds minus the Airbnb, fee which I think is 20 or 30% per booking on this experience.
What’s so awesome about these experiences is the ability to turn any talents we have, and often things we have struggled to monetize into an experience on Airbnb.
You can also require government ID verification and there are lots of opportunities to customize your experience.
Here’s another awesome example from another one of my partners at Jerrybanfield.com/partners. This is Jewel and Auret. They actually were the ones who told me about Airbnb experiences. Therefore, you could credit them with this information.
Jewel and Auret are in Vancouver. They made a workshop called “Hang with Local YouTubers in Vancouver,“ and they have earned hundreds of dollars having lunch essentially with people, who are mostly locals or within driving distance, interested in just talking about building a YouTube channel.
This is such an awesome gig to just get that experience out there in a way that’s easy to understand.
I was thinking about making a gig like this to come visit my studio and I almost finished it, but Laura and I talked about it and we realized that it’s probably not a great idea for me to be having people come over to the house since my shed, the studio is in the backyard.
That would require us to have people coming over probably every day to the house.
So I’ve opted not to do this myself, however, I am here to share this with you because Jewel and Auret, and Tomas, both have their own studios, so they are able to do this somewhere that’s not right where they live, which is nice.
This is in Vancouver and you can see that Jewel and Auret have three five-star reviews on their experience.
The big downside with Airbnb experiences is you have to create one that people love and leave good reviews for. If your reviews drop below an average of 4.7, then Airbnb tells you clearly that they are liable to either remove your experience or filter it out.
Therefore, these experiences are not to be just low-quality, thought of this real quick and put it up there. This is to offer your ideal skill set, your very best offering to the world.
Therefore, I suggest if you want to make one of these to think of the one thing you are absolutely amazing at, that you could create an experience that it’s unlikely hardly anyone else in your local area could offer.
Thank you very much for taking a look at this. I’m so excited about Airbnb experiences because in the world of making money online, especially trying to do things and monetize skills locally can be very challenging.
This is one of those brand-new or pretty new opportunities that are wide open for you today that I hope will be useful for you.
I love you.
You are awesome.
Thanks for watching this or listening to it on my podcast, or reading it on my blog, and I hope this is really helpful for you today.
