ICP's price chart shows the opportunity

ICP's price chart shows the opportunity

The Man in the Hot Tub Who Saw Opportunity

Most people look at the ICP price chart and they see a warning sign. They leave immediately. But I talked to a man yesterday who scheduled a one-on-one call with me — he was in his hot tub with his shirt off, it was awesome — and he said, "Jerry, when I saw the ICP price chart, I thought this is an amazing opportunity." What you can get out of this is realizing not everyone is thinking the same way. You'd imagine most people look at the ICP price chart, think it's a huge red flag, and never look deeper. But there's a minority of people who look, see opportunity, and then go for it — go all in on it. Now, he didn't just see the price chart by itself. He researched the rest of it. But he wasn't scared off by the price chart. And the more that happens — the more people are looking through crypto willing to see beyond the price chart, and the more the rest of crypto goes down or is uncertain or confusing or goes nowhere — the more people there are going to be who do their due diligence. I wasn't scared off by the ICP price chart either, and I know that's an unusual reaction. But right now, what's amazing with ICP is that some people see the price chart as an opportunity, and to some people it's not. To me, that's the truth — it's the truth because the technology lines up behind it. It wouldn't be the truth if there were just a coin and a bunch of hype and talk and marketing, which is what you get with most everything else. That's why I built the site at CryptoTechCap.com, which is hosted on ICP, that helps you get at the truth: that ICP has incredible technical capabilities.

Most Crypto Thinking Is Inverted

Here's another example. A lot of people in crypto think the technology doesn't matter. That seems to be the prevailing opinion in crypto — that price charts matter and technology doesn't. I would tell you the truth is that price charts don't matter, at least in the short term, and technology does matter. In fact, it's the most important thing in the long term. Therefore, most people's thinking in crypto is inverted. For example, look at the 2021 bull run: how many people were buying at the top — buying coins that were astronomically high that they had no idea about? They look at a green price chart and see an opportunity. That's happening across crypto right now. You have people who just look at a price chart and assume that because it went up, it's good. Take Ethereum. A number of people look at Ethereum and say, "Oh man, look at this, this is an opportunity right now. Look, it's down from where it was, but all it's done is go up and up." Well, Ethereum didn't have a big manipulated launch like ICP did, and Ethereum's price chart is actually down quite a bit and has trended down, along with many others. This is where you've got to dig deeper and think more critically. It's a $200 billion market cap — in the best-case scenario, in fantasy land, you maybe get a 10x out of that. Especially when you compare Ethereum's technology to ICP's: Ethereum does a tiny fraction, 22 things, compared to the 97 that ICP does, with XRP down at six. So I hope you can see that the price chart is your friend today.

I'm Putting My Money Where My Mouth Is

I know this can be hard to accept if you want to make money on ICP. I have more to gain from the ICP price pumping than most, because I've taken cash advances on credit cards to buy ICP — the price is so crazy, so low. In my opinion, it's going to have a hard time going much lower because of the real utility and because it's so small already. And I have a lot to gain from the price going up, not just on my own investments. What do you think is going to happen to all my crypto videos when ICP pumps? My videos may pump five or ten times, and that means I make thousands more in ad revenue, plus thousands of dollars of calls coming in. Every dollar the ICP price pumps, my net worth grows by something like seven or eight thousand dollars. So yes, it would be a huge deal for me if the price pumps. But this is the opportunity: accumulate cheap.

The $86,000 House

For example, I bought a house with my ex-wife almost a decade ago, and we paid $200,000 more than the guy who bought it two years earlier. He bought a house that was run down, took a couple of years, flipped it and fixed it up, and made at least $200,000 off the sale, minus all the time and expenses he put into it. That looks like a pretty sweet deal, doesn't it? But the real opportunity was buying the $86,000 house and having the vision that this was going to be a $280,000 house a couple of years from now by putting some time and energy and effort into it. That's the same thing with ICP. And it's amazing validation to see that there are critical thinkers, deep thinkers, people doing real research in crypto, who look at the ICP price chart and think, "Nice — now this is one I want to investigate."

Compare that to some of the price charts people are most excited about in crypto right now. There's been so much hype about Hyperliquid, but to me this doesn't look like an opportunity at all. This looks like an absolute disaster: a $34 billion fully diluted market cap versus $13 billion, and a price chart that is mostly up, close to all-time highs. That does not look like an opportunity to me. That looks like buying the top. In probably ninety-some percent of scenarios, that will be buying the top. Meanwhile with ICP, in ninety-some percent of scenarios, this will probably be buying the bottom. Now, this isn't financial advice — it's my own experience and my own belief, and anything can happen in the world. But I'm putting my money where my mouth is, and I'm buying as much ICP as I can. I've been doing one or two buys — around $1,000 or so of ICP a month. If I had more money coming in off my calls or from another source, I'd be buying more ICP than I'm buying now. I'd like to get at least $10,000 in, and I could go for $20,000 as well.

To me, the beauty of ICP right now is being able to see that house for $86,000. Do you know how many times I wished, when I bought the house for $280,000, that I'd been able to buy it for $86,000 and pay contractors to fix it up my way? At $86,000, I could have nearly bought it in cash, then paid probably $30,000 to $50,000 to fix the house up, and saved $150,000 or so. That is what I see happening with ICP: maybe a year or two years from now, people are going to be rushing in with their wallets open — whether it's through cloud engines, or mass adoption of some apps on the network, or some narrative, or people in these other coins collapsing and looking for an exit.

The Hundred-Million-Dollar Investor

There's going to be someone like Michael Saylor looking for the next Bitcoin and Ethereum — someone smart enough to realize they're never going to make it in those, because Michael Saylor got into Bitcoin before they did and everybody else got into Ethereum before they did. They're going to be looking with hundreds of millions of dollars. They're going to be looking down through all these coins and saying, "All right, I'm going to take my $100 million and put it into something, and I want to turn that into a billion. Where can I buy $100 million of something and turn it into a billion?" That kind of investor is not going to just stop at a price chart. They're not going to look at Hyperliquid and say, "Oh man, this is going to make me money." An investor with that kind of leverage — an investor with access to the best AI in the world and people who know how to use it — is going to go through the top 100 cryptos at least, maybe the top 500, and ask: where's an outlier? Where's something nobody's appreciating properly? Where's something that has a serious future that's not based on hype and superstition?

So you see, Internet Computer Protocol could have a massive move off of one single person realizing the opportunity here. On my one-on-one calls, I talk to people who often have much more ICP than I do, and they're seeing the same things. Somebody with a lot of money is going to find ICP, because AI is making it easier than ever to find it. Just say: "ChatGPT, go through the top 100 cryptos and find an outlier. Find something that's drastically undervalued based on something real — not just narratives or promises or a roadmap. Find something that's real, that's going to last the test of time, that I could invest in today with a very high probability of going up indefinitely. Find a hidden gem that's unlike the rest of the other coins."

You've got to remember, a few years ago we didn't have AI. You couldn't just look through all the top 100 cryptos yourself — you had to "trust me, bro" on all these influencers telling you what was going to go up. Now you don't. And I imagine some of the wealthiest people in the world have access to even better AI than the public does. I can tell you that ChatGPT Pro at $100 a month is good enough to go through and produce a research website like mine. So anyone who can afford $100 a month can compile research like this. Most wouldn't think to ask the right questions — to say, "Score the top 100 cryptos based on what technical capabilities they offer" — but someone with $100 million to invest is going to ask smart people, because that's how they got the $100 million to invest. They don't just throw money around. They put in more thought and more research, and they're going to see that this is a massive buying opportunity.

And $100 million is almost enough to buy all the ICP off of every exchange right now. Someone with $100 million would pretty much have to gently DCA in — buy a million dollars here, a million dollars there. There may already be one person trying to DCA in without moving the price. You might think, how is that possible — one person with $100 million trying to DCA in and the price not moving? Well, with leverage, you can have all this artificial sell pressure, and one person could be sitting there scooping all of it up.

One Buyer Today, Thousands Tomorrow

So then you have equilibrium in the price: a huge amount of sell pressure, and one person sitting there scooping up millions of dollars of ICP as often as they can. But it will only take a second person getting the same idea and saying, "Wait a minute." And all of us are telepathically connected, in a sense. I know this. Bobby O knows this. Blockchain Pill knows this. Zero to Hero knows this. Michael Duffy knows this — and what a great title on that recent video: "You'll regret not buying $2 ICP." There are thousands of us. There's everyone at DFINITY. There are all the governments that are working with it, and enterprises, corporations, solopreneurs. This information is out there. It's in the collective consciousness, and someone operating on the right frequency is going to pick it up.

People with a lot of money tend to have — let's not get too conspiratorial here; I could be specific, but I won't — incredible advantages over the average person. Think psychics who are really good at what they do. They're going to locate Internet Computer. Either that, or I'm not as psychic as I think I am. But with tech, I seem to be pretty advanced and able to identify things coming way ahead of time. I was doing vertical videos back in 2019. I was on TikTok back in 2019, back when it was easy to get 100,000 views on a video. You've got to think differently if you want to be successful — and most of you do already.

Word of Mouth Is the Tell

A lot of people have been brought into ICP by word of mouth, and that's a really good sign. If something is genuinely different, you're going to get word-of-mouth marketing. With a lot of these other cryptos, people don't even have enough confidence in them to tell their friends about them. Thus, I think the future for ICP is very bright.

Thank You for the Current Price Tag

I think the thing to do is say thank you for the current price tag — today at two dollars and something — because I'm not buying any more ICP over $3 again. This is my time to stack that ICP up. You grab that $86,000 house, or it's off the market. You wait, and it's gone — you missed the opportunity. I bought the house, and now it's doubled in value. My ex owns it now, because I gave it to her, and it doubled in value — but it's up five times from where it was ten years ago. I imagine ten years in the future, ICP is going to look like one of those things where people say, "I can't believe you could have bought it at $2."

But that's not guaranteed. There are probabilities where things don't play out. And if ICP doesn't work out, it's not going to ruin my life. I have other plans, and I have other opportunities. With my investing, I'm all in — I'm all in on ICP, but it's not the only thing I'm doing in my life. I don't have any other investments besides ICP. No stocks. I don't own a house anymore. And thus I'm all in on ICP because of everything I've laid out: in my view, it's a massive buy opportunity. This obviously wasn't financial advice — it's my own belief and what I'm doing with my own money — and I obviously just said I'm all in on ICP, so weigh that for yourself. If you want to keep following how this plays out, I share everything I'm seeing on my ICP Crypto playlist. I guess it's time to stop — it is time to stack now.
