Would you try listening to one of my new inspirational monologues for free on my podcast?
What is my podcast about?
You will see that I recently updated podcast to a new name which is “Happier People” and I am now recording new episodes daily! Each day I talk about what I am learning in my life the same as I would share it with you in person. There is no script, no guests, and no ads! The last 5 episodes are titled:
- Comfort with uncertainty is a superpower!
- My best ideas leave me feeling vulnerable.
- It is okay to suffer growing pains!
- Happier people are educated, inspired, and comfortable.
- Time travel is for real!
Why am I asking you to listen today?
Every day, I read and listen to an average of 3 inspirational books along with attending an hour long recovery meeting. What I love listening to the most is people honestly sharing the insides of their life both the good times and the bad. For example, I loved Amanda Palmer’s book “The Art of Asking” because I learned how to get through my own inability to ask for what I need. Her stories of struggling to ask her husband for money and love helped me find comfort in asking for help with my business.
Who inspires me?
Listening to Brene Brown talk about shame in her life helped me identify shame in my life and motivated me to get help. Hearing Scott Adams talk about how he messed up one thing after another in his career before creating Dilbert helped me to be comfortable with making mistakes in my business. Reading “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” helped me identify areas where I could be a better husband and motivated me to try new behaviors and healthier ways of thinking. Studying Eckhart Tolle helps me experience the power of now each moment in my life.
How do I benefit from the podcast?
I put a lot of time and effort into self-improvement and I try to share what I learn in that each day with you on my podcast because I am grateful for each person who has done the same for me. If teaching is the best way to learn, I benefit the most from my podcast because it helps me stay accountable to you through my journey of becoming a better person each day.
