    Hi Jerry

I’d like to ask about a good length for a video. I made my online course with short succinct videos that just got to the point quickly but now I’m beginning to think this was a bad idea as I’m guessing longer videos a) seem like a longer more beneficial course and b) are more likely to monetise higher in Youtube and Skillshare?

What would be your recommendation on video length. I’m wanting to balance user experience with smart monestisation,

    Thank you
    Stephanie

Stephanie shorter and to the point is definitely better if you are able to film that way to help students focus! Udemy had data I saw a few years ago that 2 to 5 minutes is the ideal length for a lecture! For YouTube, you can use both short and long videos by putting shorter lectures out individually and then combining them into a longer tutorial!
