I just swapped a thousand of my ICP over to JERRY on Robinhood. I now have over $4,000 of my JERRY meme coin on Robinhood, and this is my new strategy for crypto, especially after seeing the lack of marketing, looking at the bigger crypto environment, and honoring myself as a content creator.
My new strategy with crypto is this: ICP is what I'm all in on for the long term. In the short term, though, I don't even see the point in holding liquid ICP anymore. Right now I've got 10,000 in ICP, and 99% of it is locked. Actually, since there's maturity of 700 in there, it could be more if I sold the whole account. But going forward, ICP is a long-term investment for me. None of this is financial advice. This is just, transparently, what I'm doing with my own money.
Why I don't hold liquid ICP anymore
I don't see the point in holding liquid or short-term ICP anymore, because when you watch things like NEAR go blasting past ICP, it's because NEAR has financial engineering to pull it up. It has no technology and hardly any adoption that I can see that would merit it pumping more than ICP. But these other coins have to pump more than ICP, because otherwise people are going to figure out what's going on in crypto. The downside of this is that Internet Computer Protocol, to me, is purely a long play. And I want most of my money in a long-term play where I'm not paying attention to the Internet Computer Protocol price on a day-to-day basis. Day to day, it doesn't matter whether Internet Computer Protocol is at 2, 5, 10, or 20. It doesn't matter, because this is a long-term investment.
I don't think most people in crypto should do anything more than invest long term. But I'm not most people in crypto. I'm advanced. I've been in this for a long time. I'm not a crypto beginner. And the advanced side of crypto is making money in meme coins.
The comeback story behind JERRY
Yes, I got hacked. A team of hackers ripped me off and stole from my meme coin right when I launched it. But this meme coin now has an epic comeback story that's possible behind it. The market cap surged to about $160,000 on the day I launched it, and when I got hacked, it tanked way down. And the MaxFi team are the ones sponsoring me. They're the ones that have paid me $3,000 to talk about MaxFi while DFINITY is giving me nothing, every time. Not only have they given me over $3,000, including the sponsored video and then paying me to help them with marketing, but they also sent me $1,600 worth of JERRY, 20 million JERRY, when I got hacked and my token got rugged.
So the way I see it, Internet Computer Protocol makes perfect sense as a long-term play. But in the short term, meme coins are the things that can just go up and go nuts all of a sudden, like my meme coin on Robinhood. And some of the people in ICP are so upset about this. Look, if you're upset, you should be upset at DFINITY for not taking care of me. I wouldn't have any interest in playing around with Robinhood meme coins if DFINITY would give me what is appropriate for my work. But I am going to go play around with Robinhood meme coins and launch my own.
It's crazy that some people are celebrating that I got hacked and somebody stole $20,000 from me. The MaxFi team took the biggest hit on it. And the MaxFi team has shown me there's a lot more to crypto than Internet Computer Protocol. Yes, ICP makes sense to take a decent bag and lock it up. But if you'll notice, I've now got the largest single bag in my meme coin again. I had 20% of it before, and now I've got 4.7%, and I have over 5% if I pulled it out of the MaxFi pool. There's tons of liquidity in it that the MaxFi team has put a bunch into, and the community has too, so it can handle a lot of swap volume, which will stop it from going down as hard.
I appreciate the MaxFi team's generosity. It's the opposite attitude from DFINITY. I do a huge amount of work for DFINITY and I get nothing. I do a little bit of work for the MaxFi team, and they love me, they support me, and they help me when I'm down. So to me, this is what makes sense for the foreseeable future.
Robinhood meme coins and what's in position
There's a ton of action on these Robinhood meme coins. Some of these Robinhood meme coins, with much less story and much less promotion than someone like me has, went into the hundreds of millions of dollars in market cap. And my coin has everything in position for amazing things to happen. It has a story behind it. I'm excited to see where this goes, because to me, we're getting through the worst part of it. I mean, literally getting the meme coin stolen and dumped. We made it through the hard part already. I'm going to offer a discount to people once I get this built in, and I'm going to build JBBJ in first. So I'm also back into JBBJ.
Two basic ways to do crypto
If you're in crypto, there are two basic ways to do it. One is to just find the best long-term investment and relax. ICP seems to fit that criteria: the best long-term investment, and then just relax. Stay off of crypto Twitter and off of YouTube. You don't need to watch videos every day about ICP, because the tech is not going anywhere on a day-to-day basis. That's one way, and to me that would ideally be the way for most people to do crypto: find Internet Computer Protocol, sit in it, lock it up, and not worry about it.
But there's going to be a minority of people, 10, 20, 30 percent, for whom it does make sense to go and look for the very best opportunities in crypto. From what I see, tiny meme coins that have huge potential, because of the community, whatever the name is, and so on, are where the action and the opportunities are in crypto. So I also bought into JBBJ again. And if anybody wants to sell their JBBJ, I'll buy it from you. I've got one of the largest JBBJ wallets again. I think the one with 30 million in it is mine, so I have 3% of the JBBJ supply, and I'm trying to buy another 3% of it also.
It's funny to watch some of the same people who launched their own meme coins on ICP, and potentially even rug pulled people on those coins, celebrating me getting hacked and saying I deserved it. Some of them have been selling their coins. It's like, well, did everybody deserve for you to rug them and take a bunch of money from them? And then I'm out here trying to do my thing and stand behind something in the long term, and this is the thanks I get. It's crazy.
The two tokens I'll mention in every crypto video
What I've seen is that if I'm going to talk about a token all the time, it should be a token where I have a bunch of the supply and it's a tiny market cap. It should not be a token that has hundreds of millions, if not billions, of dollars in market cap, like ICP, where I've got fractions and fractions of a percent. So from now on, the two tokens I'll mention in every single one of my crypto videos will be JERRY on Robinhood and JBBJ on Internet Computer Protocol. Maybe I'll have a page like /memes or something. I'll get those linked on my website, the swaps and the explorers and things like that. I'll put it all on there.
Because the MaxFi team is the team that showed up when I needed help. Not DFINITY. Not anybody else in the ecosystem. Not anybody else in the rest of crypto. And to me, one of the biggest signs of who's got your back is who's there when you need help. I've seen this from having a billion impressions on all the stuff I've created online. When you're hot, when you're making lots of money, everybody shows up with their hand out. Everybody shows up with opportunities, wanting to offer you money to promote them. But when you get canceled, when you get banned, when you get demonetized, when you get hacked, the people out there talking all that junk, yeah, I know your real position now. You've shown your true colors. When I suffer misfortune, y'all are all using it as an opportunity to clout chase. And when I say that we need to do something about marketing, Pierre unfollows me and the ICP community loses it. Then who steps up? MaxFi. That's who. So we'll put this thing together.
The MaxFi protocol is just printing money like crazy for the people using it. Not everybody, of course. If you pick the wrong coins, you could get rugged. At the same time, if you pick the right coins, you can make a lot of money. So I'm grateful that this last week has shown me who's for me and who I don't need to pay attention to. If you're supporting me, I'm very interested in what you've got to say. And I'm going to help the MaxFi team bring as many people to the platform as possible.
Why liquid ICP was making me look like a fool
I am happy with my ICP locked indefinitely. But I was not happy holding thousands in liquid ICP. At the top, at $3, I would have had about $20,000 worth of liquid ICP. I lost $5,000 of that by getting hacked. Then I put thousands into JBBJ, and now I've put thousands more into JERRY. If I had just held all that ICP, that doesn't have much of a future in the short term. And when I'm sitting there with all this liquid ICP, it's tempting to check the price every day. It's tempting to get frustrated watching NEAR Protocol go up, watching XRP go up, watching some of these absolute garbage coins go up higher than ICP. It just makes me look like a fool.
Whereas, I imagine that in time, my meme coins are going to make me look like a genius. With Robinhood meme coins being so hot, the fully diluted market cap on JERRY is $86K. And with me having such a community, so many followers across so many platforms, so many videos, and knowing how to do marketing, me marketing something that has a tiny market cap like this, and like JBBJ, makes a big difference. Maybe it won't happen overnight. But JBBJ, my first ever meme coin, had a $500,000 market cap at one point. And some of the other coins in the ecosystem have much bigger market caps with only a little bit more marketing than I'm capable of doing by myself.
So I'm not going around shilling. To me, it just doesn't make sense for anybody who wants a chance at a 10, 20, or 100X to look at ICP. You're not going to get that in ICP for quite a while. You could get that in a meme coin. Hopefully, it's mine.
The math is on your side with smaller coins
I guarantee you there are other meme coins out there where you can get a 10, 20, or 100X in a relatively short amount of time. A bunch of them on Robinhood just did that fairly recently. And yes, a lot of these meme coins are going to go to zero. The difference between which ones go to zero and which ones don't is going to be who stands behind their coin. I don't like how I didn't stand behind JBBJ, because I was on this ethical kick, like, well, it's a meme coin, meme coins are bad, and I'm good. No. I'm not bad, I'm not good. I've got two meme coins now, and I intend to continue to talk about them.
Every time JBBJ moves 10%, that matters to me, because I've got 3% of the supply and I'm trying to buy another 3% or 4% of the supply. I technically do have 700 more liquid ICP. I didn't want to mention JBBJ too much before I bought more of it, but at this point, I'm in JERRY and I needed to do a video about JERRY, so I'm trying to buy more JBBJ as well. I intend to stick behind these, because these are much better opportunities for me to make money in the foreseeable future, and potentially for others. With smaller coins, the math is just on your side, as long as they're not some rug pull. JBBJ has lasted a year, all the way through me deleting everything and coming back. JERRY got hit with a hack already, and it survived. So these probably are outliers at this point. But we shall see.
My new strategy going forward
So this is my new strategy. I still love ICP. I still have my website hosted on ICP every day. But on a day-to-day basis, it's meme coins. It's meme coins on my money channel, and it's technology. And if I'm talking about ICP's technology, I'm going to mention JERRY and JBBJ as well, because that just makes sense for me financially, and it makes sense for better opportunities.
If you want to talk about how to launch your own meme coin on Robinhood, if you want to talk about building your own business on ICP like I've done, if you want to just ask me questions, if you want to talk about buying my clothes or meeting in person or anything else, or if you want to share your story with me, the one thing you can do now is schedule a call with me.
For more on how I'm building on and thinking about the Internet Computer, from hosting my website on ICP to locking up my neurons for the long term, you can find all of it in my Tech playlist.
