You will love hearing why some of the top influencers in crypto are consistently silenced and effectively censored from even talking about Internet Computer Protocol. Logic would dictate that if creators in the crypto space want to give you the best information and have the best stories, then they would know about the best technology in crypto, something that is radically advanced, way better than anything else, and can do everything on chain. It is shocking to me as someone who has been in crypto nine years, someone who has thoroughly done my own research, someone who looks at Internet Computer Protocol and sees that this is 44 million times cheaper per instruction than Ethereum, that you can put data on chain 10,000 times cheaper on Internet Computer than you can on Solana or Cardano, and way cheaper than Ethereum.
It is the first full stack crypto development platform. It is a cryptocurrency built into something like Amazon Web Services. It is an all in one full stack development platform where you can host a website. It has automatic DAO governance, automatic DAOs that upgrade the chain, where you can launch a token and have it governed automatically by a DAO. The fees are just as low as something like Solana, it is just as fast, and it has the biggest computation in all of crypto. There is nothing else in crypto, no other chain that does this much computation. What Internet Computer does every second is the equivalent of hundreds of thousands of Ethereum transactions. It is serving web. It has HTTPS outcalls, which eliminates the need for a chain like Ethereum, because if you just go to a website and you see that there is no Ethereum at all, you are just going to look at the Chainlink, and you no longer need it when you use Internet Computer.
When you see people like Brian Armstrong, the CEO of Coinbase, who you would think knows about what is coming in crypto, and when you see Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong say on chain is the new online, the crypto companies will be the tech giants of tomorrow as on chain becomes the present day equivalent of the internet, I have news for you: there is only one crypto that can do everything on chain at scale, and it is Internet Computer.
Why the top crypto channels stay quiet
Which then brings us back to, well, why do many of the very top people in crypto, who I will not name because I do not want to promote their channel, and perhaps maybe they did do a video about it and I did not see it, but many of the top crypto channels do not discuss Internet Computer, which to me is shocking? There are a few different reasons we will give for this, so let us give the most kind and generous one first.
Let us say they looked at the price chart and they saw the price action and they looked at it and said, well, all the investors have got wrecked in it so far, this must be dead, not worth my time. You can imagine, the bigger your audience gets, the more people want things from you, the more opportunities you have, and you may not have time to go research all these different coins. If you go down to number 33 and you look at Internet Computer and you look at the price chart, it is down 99 percent, and the volume is low. So the most generous interpretation is that some crypto influencers just do not have time and have not taken the time to really look at this and see what it does, and maybe they are Bitcoin maxis or ETH maxis, or they already have other bags.
Another kind interpretation is that they are stuck in confirmation bias, which I repeat because you need to know about this. To be fair, I will show you my bag. Oh, do not show me your bag, Jerry. So this is my bag: I have 2,500 Internet Computer, and I got this bag after holding like 50 other altcoins, researching all of them thoroughly, being very aware of confirmation bias, and trying hard to figure out and cut through all the crap and the confusion in crypto and figure out which crypto I could buy today that would give me the absolute best return in the long term based on fundamentals and technology.
In another kind interpretation, you can simply say that many other crypto influencers are stuck in confirmation bias, that they are holding bags of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, and therefore all they do is talk about how great Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana are, present data on those cryptos, and then they generally talk mostly negatively about everything else. To be fair, most of my videos now are about how great Internet Computer is and how much everything else sucks, so that is definitely a big thing too. But at some point, as a crypto creator, you have to go beyond confirmation bias. If you want to present your audience with the very best information, you have to go beyond confirmation bias.
The darker reasons
From here we are going to get into some of the darker reasons why people are not mentioning Internet Computer. Let us look first at the technological capabilities of Internet Computer, which you can go use yourself, go try yourself. You do not have to take my word for it. You should not. You should do your own research, use it yourself. You can feel, when you use Internet Computer, that the technology is far advanced beyond anything else. For example, when I just signed into this in the background, it has a decentralized identity solution where you can use your phone, your computer, your tablet, any device, and you can sign into it and use the cryptographic environment in that device, essentially just like a hardware wallet, where in my opinion you do not need some other hardware wallet to keep your crypto secure.
The technology on here is so advanced that many people are not covering this because it is threatening. What most of us try hard to avoid in life is being wrong, and many of us are not flexible. Once we load enough of our crypto bags up, then we do not want to change our minds. What happened is a lot of crypto influencers in the past first saw ICP, did not look at it to start with, did not really do their own research, and said it sucked. So now they would have to change their mind and make a video saying they were wrong before, and that is what most people do almost anything to avoid.
It is unusual for somebody like me to be very flexible and to be very clear on exactly how I was wrong before. Most people try to avoid being wrong and hide all evidence of their failures, and this is why a lot of people do not cover Internet Computer, because repeatedly they did not research it, did not look at it in the past, and now they would have to face telling their audience, I was wrong about that, and it actually has the best technology I have seen in crypto, and I was way wrong about that. Most crypto creators, especially the bigger the audience you get, do not want to look stupid. I guess I am unusual in that I do not mind being embarrassed or looking stupid or saying one thing one day and then changing my mind the next day. I go to yoga; my body and mind are very flexible.
So a lot of crypto YouTubers have put themselves in a position where they said ICP was bad before, and now it is going to take a lot to change their minds. They are literally doing ridiculous things, like they do not even go to the dashboard and check the data for themselves. They will just omit the data. Once you look at this, it really brings into question the entire integrity of all the crypto creation I have seen. People who have very good data about the coins they like, creators with big followings, big audiences, making a lot of money, instead of looking at the dashboard, they simply put dashes when they compared Internet Computer to their favorite crypto. They literally just put dashes. They did not go to the official explorer, which is linked right there on CoinMarketCap, and look at the data for themselves and take two minutes to copy and paste the data in for themselves.
A threat to their existing bag
So another reason people do not talk about it, one of the big reasons people do not talk about Internet Computer, is that it is a threat to their existing bag. It is like that meme where the guy is walking with the girl and he is looking back whistling at another girl. If you have been a Bitcoin maxi and ETH maxi, or you have loaded your bag with a very few amount of altcoins, and especially when they actually pump, you are going to take some time to pat yourself on the back, and then a threat comes along. How are you going to behave if your wife has this really attractive guy friend that is nicer than your wife, that has more money than you, that can do everything you cannot do?
You are probably going to act like my friend did when I was single. I would ask every girl out and I would talk all kinds of junk about girls. My best friend did not tell me about any of his sisters until I had a steady girlfriend. He had three sisters, and he kept all those sisters secret for years from me, even though he told me everything else about his life. He would tell me all of his own relationship drama, we would play all these video games together, he told me everything except about his three hot sisters. And by the time I found out about his three hot sisters, it was too late, because I had already got my own attractive woman that I am in love with. And this is Internet Computer Protocol. I suspect there are some in the crypto space that are figuring out Internet Computer, and they are loading their bags, and they do not want to tell you about it. So this is one of the darkest reasons people are not talking about Internet Computer.
What happened when I started talking about it
So about a month ago, a little over a month ago, I started going on and on about Internet Computer. Every video, Internet Computer. The price was back here when I started making videos every day about it, and the price has gone up 48 percent since I started making videos every day about it. Now, I certainly do not claim credit for that. I have around 21,000 subs, and I have a crypto reviews channel with like seven or eight thousand subs. Even if you put those together, even though there is a lot of overlap, let us say 25,000 subs, the price of Internet Computer has gone up almost 50 percent in a month. Now part of that is the Bitcoin price pump, to be sure, but there have also been a bunch of dumps.
I have seen people in my Discord server who appear to have bought. Now, I hope you did your own research and did not just take my word for it and buy it off the video, because this is educational material, not instructions. People appear to have bought hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of dollars worth of Internet Computer, just in connection with watching.
The darker reasons Internet Computer doesn't pump
Right now it is just little old me talking to you, with around 20,000 subscribers, doing my own research. One of the darkest reasons Internet Computer doesn't pump is because I would imagine there are at least a few people who have actually figured out Internet Computer, and they are loading their bags before they tell you about it. I am glad I am not the dishonest person I used to be. I have talked to some crypto YouTubers who have bags of ICP and they do not even talk about it that much on their channel, because they agree with what I am saying, but they are busy chasing other opportunities.
Some of you have said, well, you must have gotten paid to talk about ICP. I have not been paid anything to talk about ICP. It is possible I will in the future, but I have not been paid anything for a month and a half, and I have done videos about it almost every day. If I were not so honest, you know what I would have done? I would have kept my mouth shut about ICP, loaded a fat bag of it, and made tens of thousands of dollars from other cryptos that sponsored me. I would have told you all about those sponsored coins while I quietly loaded my bag with Internet Computer in the background. Then, when my bag was so big I would not buy any more of it, or when the price seemed to be pumping inevitably anyway, at that point I would tell you about Internet Computer. Unfortunately for the size of my bag, as soon as I bought it the first time, knowing almost nothing about it, I told you about it. Then, after I did hundreds of hours of research and went all in, I started making videos every day.
Picture this: if you are somebody with a much bigger audience than me, and you suddenly make an honest video about Internet Computer where you actually did your own research, where you realize this technology blows away everything else in the rest of your bag, and the market cap is only two billion dollars. Just one video like that, from one creator with an audience that big, and this could shoot to twenty dollars, because their audience has never even heard of it before. If they actually explained it, that alone would move it. So one of the darker reasons you have people who are onto this, who are stacking and just letting retail miss out on it, is that many of the other creators, for one reason or another, are not mentioning it.
But the more the price goes up, the more I keep talking about it, and their audiences start demanding to hear about it and demanding that they research it. People drop super chats, angry that these creators will not look at it, and every comment on their video that rises to the top asks, why won't you look at Internet Computer? You are going to have some more big channels that finally do good videos about it. Some of the big channels may even be paid to FUD it. So let's look out for another dark reason you are not hearing about Internet Computer: it is not paying a whole bunch of money to a bunch of people to talk about it. Some of these other cryptos are paying huge amounts of money to people to talk about them, and some of them may even be paying people to shut up about Internet Computer.
What I saw at the top of the crypto world
What I have seen is that when you get to some of the highest levels of money and transactions, things get ugly. I got to be one of the top crypto influencers in the world in 2017 and 2018, and I quit in 2018 after seeing how disgusting it was. There was very much a hierarchy in place, and you always had to bow down to whoever had the most money and the most power. If you expressed your own opinion, you would have money and power taken away from you. Anytime people were doing a favor for you, they were looking for a cut, or for some of the money themselves. From what I see, there is a lot of dirty money going around in crypto. It looks to me like there are people being paid not to talk about Internet Computer, and there is a whole group of cryptos that quite possibly are intentionally paying people not to make videos about it. This is why you are getting some of the weird responses, where people are clearly hiding something from you.
Watch how some of these creators react. If people cannot honestly talk about Internet Computer, I will not watch them anymore. Because if you have really done your own research in crypto, you should have looked at every crypto in the top 50 at a minimum. I do not even care if you are a Bitcoin maxi. You should at least be aware of what is going on with the top 50 cryptos. Even if you are a Bitcoin or ETH maxi creating content for a big audience, you should know your stuff. In my experience, Internet Computer is going to break out, because it is the hottest thing I have ever seen in crypto. The technology is so far superior to anything else that it is almost like a conspiracy at this point that everybody is not talking about it.
Then again, I have been a police officer, so I know the reality of some conspiracy theories. I saw firsthand, when I was a police officer, that I wrote a report based on what actually happened. I gave the report to my sergeant, and he said we cannot print this in the paper. I said that is not my problem. I am not going to lie or change my report. This is what happened, I do not care who this makes look bad, this is the truth. My sergeant said, that is fine, Banfield, I will rewrite this for you. What was printed in the paper was inaccurate, because the sergeant was ordered by, or aware of, people higher than him deciding what should and should not be allowed to be discussed in the paper.
I have come to believe that the world you live in is extremely curated, especially at the higher levels of money. You are being told what to think, and people are often just parroting what the people at the highest levels of power and money want them to say. I know who has been frustrated over the last three years, feeling like you are talking to a parrot, that all these creators are doing is repeating things they have heard somewhere else, things they know nothing about themselves, even when objective reality looks to completely disagree with what they are saying.
Why the coverage will come anyway
So Internet Computer is going to see the light of coverage, because fortunately there are many honest creators. All right, maybe not many, but there are definitely some great content creators in the crypto space, and the best information will cover Internet Computer. Some of these people take time to understand things. I found Internet Computer in February off of the chat in my live stream, and I did not start really getting into it until September. I did not go all in on it until October. So it took me eight months from when I found it to when I committed. I did a video when I first found it and started shilling it myself, but then I went on to show a bunch of other altcoins.
You need to understand that for most people in my position, if I wanted to make the most money possible, I would take a different sponsored coin every day of the week. I could pocket several thousand dollars, sometimes tens of thousands of dollars, on every video just to give you a different sponsored coin every week. Most crypto influencers are not going to say no to making huge amounts of money in favor of talking about the very best research they have found and helping you make the best investments. But there are some who will. The ones who find Internet Computer, who genuinely care about you and who really understand it, will feel like they have to cover it, and that they would be dishonest if they did not mention it. So Internet Computer will get the coverage it deserves.
It effectively has been censored a lot, especially for the last couple of years. It has been manipulated. But as we have seen in the past, there was a lot of funny stuff that went on with Bitcoin in the first few years too. A lot of FUD, a lot of people who would not cover it, who would not talk about it. Look at Bitcoin now. You had Larry Fink in 2017 saying Bitcoin was just for money laundering and terrorism. Look at him now. He is a champion of Bitcoin ETFs and selling it to all of his clients. It took Larry four or five years to change his mind. Maybe it will take some of these people in crypto a few years to change their mind about Internet Computer, and I have my bag loaded well in advance of that happening.
So I appreciate the question about why Internet Computer is not getting talked about, even though it seems to deserve the most coverage based on the technology and what it can do. It looks to me like Internet Computer is the most deserving of coverage in all of crypto. I do not want to talk about anything else, because of the technology and its capabilities.
