I'm rebranding this channel from Jerry Banfield Crypto Reviews to Jerry Banfield Money. I'm burnt out on doing coin reviews, and the numbers agree with me: the analytics show most people aren't that interested in hearing me say the same thing and bash the same coins day after day. The views have kept dropping as I make more of those videos, and the algorithm clearly isn't rewarding a channel where every upload is nearly identical. I think I can give a lot more value talking about money in a bigger way.
Why money, and why now
On my main channel I've made a lot of videos about money, and those are the ones people have responded to — the money I'm making now, why I feel rich even when my net worth is plummeting, why I'd rather be broke, what it's like renting a house. Those did far better than the daily coin reviews ever did. So by default I'm not going to review cryptos on this channel anymore. I may still make the occasional big-picture crypto video that doesn't fit my ICP channel, but the focus here is shifting to money.
If you're in crypto, money is already the big issue on your mind. A lot of us get pulled into crypto while we're having money problems in the first place — chasing 100x coins, feeling broke, hunting for the one token that will finally make us rich. I'd rather talk about the thing underneath all of that: personal finance, borrowing, money psychology, and how the whole market world fits together when you stop looking at crypto in isolation and bring stock trading and everything else into the picture. I want to show my journey through money every single day.
Coin reviews are moving into the community
Crypto reviews aren't disappearing — they're moving somewhere they actually work. If you want me to look at a specific coin, I'll be doing that inside the Jerry Banfield community rather than as a public video. Instead of filming a one-size review for an audience, you can post your portfolio or a screenshot and ask, "What do you think of this one — better or worse, and why?" I'll take a few minutes to research the exact coin you care about and tell you honestly why I would or wouldn't buy it. That's a much more useful version of what I was trying to do on camera, and working on your money is one of the main reasons to be in the group in the first place.
How I run a money channel with a negative net worth
The obvious skeptic's question — and I ask it myself — is this: how are you going to run a money channel when you have a negative net worth and you're borrowing money to pay your bills? Here's my honest answer. My out-of-the-box thinking about money has let me live a very nice lifestyle for the last year without a traditional job, and at the rate things are going the community itself is on track to cover all my bills. A member joined annually a couple of days ago, another joined monthly today, and I only set the sales page up a few days ago — it's still basic, with barely any detail on it. The demand is clearly there. I expect to build this into $10,000-plus a month by giving away hundreds of thousands of dollars in value: looking at the "garbage coin" someone's about to buy and saving them from it, one person at a time.
Building the playlist I wish I'd had
What I'm really building is the money playlist I wish had existed for me — taking my net worth from around negative $200,000 and growing it into being a millionaire, on camera, by leading with example. The model is simple: give massive value to other people, capture back a small percentage of it, and let that pay the bills. This channel will get into the things underneath the numbers, too — like how a day job you hate drains the rest of your life, feeds addictions, and makes it hard to do what you actually love, and then how scary it is to chase what you love and wonder how you'll pay for it anyway.
I'm genuinely excited about this rebrand, and I'd love your feedback on it. If you want to follow the money side of what I do, you can watch my newest videos in my YouTube coaching playlist here. I wrote more about the single offer all of this is built around in zooming in on my best offer — this is me turning Jerry Banfield Crypto Reviews into Jerry Banfield Money, and inviting you along for the journey.
