Here's a day in my life as a full-time YouTuber and single dad dating again in St. Petersburg, Florida. I love watching people's vlogs to see what regular life looks like, and I had a fairly interesting Sunday, so I'll walk you through it.
Morning: yoga and whole plants
I got up and took a walk around Crescent Lake Park near my place to get some sun, had a simple whole-plant breakfast, and went to an 8:30 heated power yoga flow — an intense, sweaty workout I'm grateful my body can handle. I put my mat down next to a woman who'd held the door for me, did a strong practice, and complimented her on her yoga afterward. She excused herself fairly soon, and I felt good anyway — my job is to start conversations and see who's interested.
Afternoon: videos, kids, and a coaching call
I came home, had a big kale salad, and filmed videos — I'm running a six-video-a-day setup across my channels. My kids came over and mostly went to play with friends across the street, so I kept working, and my ex-wife came by to catch up and pick them up. I also had an hour-long call with a fellow YouTuber I've coached, who built a channel with tens of millions of views. The core advice I keep giving, and following myself: if you want to build a channel, upload a video every single day.
Evening: a speed-dating event in Sarasota
Then I drove to Sarasota for a Tantra speed-dating event. I arrived with the attitude of just connecting and having fun, no expectations — and since there were more women than men, I was glad to be there to hold the masculine energy. Several people I already knew from the St. Pete community were there, so we laughed and had fun. The exercises — giving and receiving a little massage, a hug, eye gazing — left me feeling genuinely seen and heard, and I left feeling fantastic.
The drive home and gratitude
My ex-wife and I used to live in Sarasota, so I felt some grief on the way home for the adventures we had there — and also excitement for the adventures ahead. I'm managing a budding second date over text, I have a few Hinge matches I barely have time for, and I stopped by an AA meeting I thought was a business meeting; I arrived after it ended but stayed almost two hours connecting with friends outside. I went to bed happy around 11:30. What strikes me is how dating has shifted from desperate to abundant — when I was anxious for women to go out with, there was nothing, and now there's plenty. I'm grateful for where I'm at. If you enjoy real-life vlogs like this, you can find more on my life playlist here.
