You will never look at the Internet Computer Protocol price the same way again after reading this. I blew my own mind with what I was thinking today, and I have to share it. This is the idea I keep coming back to: how billionaires destroy the ICP crypto price while quietly accumulating it.
A lot of us in ICP have thought, oh man, nobody knows about this. But the richest people in the world tend to know about the best technology and the best investment opportunities in the world. And a lot of you would logically think, well, then wouldn't they just buy a bunch of ICP and pump my bags? In my experience watching how this works, billionaires do not get to be the richest people in the world by playing fair and giving you a chance to get wealthy alongside them. They get rich by using the financial instruments at their disposal to give themselves a disproportionately advantaged position. And then, once their bags are loaded, that is when the rest of us get to find out about it. I want to walk through how I believe billionaires are destroying the ICP price while accumulating it.
Do the billionaires actually know about ICP?
People might ask, well, do billionaires even know about this? In my view, absolutely. DFINITY is very well connected in the World Economic Forum, which represents some of the wealthiest people in the world. They are very well connected in the United Nations. They have done things like voluntary recycling credits. They are very well known in crypto among the elite and the top people in the space. For example, Dominic Williams was on a panel with Kimbal Musk recently. So it is entirely probable, in my opinion, that Elon Musk knows all about ICP.
So you might say, well, why wouldn't they all be broadcasting it? Because they want to accumulate as much as possible for themselves before you and the masses find out about it. And that is actually what makes this a really good opportunity for us to accumulate like billionaires. Because once they have decided their bags are full, then everybody will find out about it. But until then, the billionaires want to keep ICP quiet.
Why keep it quiet? So they can gain influence over this network. This, to me, is the big reason. If you are a billionaire and you found something like ICP, you want to get control of it. You want to make as much money as possible, but you also want to maximize your voting power. Right now it is in DFINITY's best interest to have a high ICP price. But if you see yourself as someone who would want to be able to vote against DFINITY, and have your vote be as strong or stronger, then you want the price to be cheap so you can load your bags. Then, once you calculate that you can no longer load your bags much further, the price can go up and you can collect your return. Billionaires tend to be very patient and calculating, unlike the masses.
The math of buying control
Right now, a billionaire would need hundreds of millions of dollars to counter this much voting power, especially when you account for what follows. On top of that, billionaires want to make sure they capture the staking yield, and they do not want the price pumping before they can max out that yield. To get significant control of this network, you would ideally need to acquire something like 100 million ICP. If ICP is $5 or $6, that is 500 to 600 million dollars. But here is the catch: as soon as the ICP price pumps, the cost of getting a significant amount of the voting power and meaningful control of the network starts to slip away.
That is the first reason billionaires would want to keep the price as low as possible. They do not want everybody buying this right now, because this is clearly the future. I have shown the tech and talked about it in a bunch of other places, so this is not about that. But billionaires who have teams of people researching things and feeding them the best information clearly have the information that this is the future of not just crypto, but the internet itself, and that it is huge. They do not want you to be buying this. More than likely, plenty of them are very well aware that DFINITY is the largest research and development team in blockchain.
How the price gets suppressed
So you might ask, okay, how could someone like Elon Musk or some of the richest people in the world possibly keep the price suppressed while they accumulate? There are financial instruments that set this up perfectly, and I want to point them out.
I set up the premise that billionaires have already found out about this and want to get as much as absolutely possible. And the one thing that stops them from accumulating is the price. The price going up means they cannot have a big say in the network and cannot maximize their profits. So there are very easy, perfectly legal financial instruments that allow billionaires to artificially suppress the price while stacking. And the antidote, the counter to this, is you being educated and informed.
The reality is that crypto retail is treated as mostly ignorant fools. Was that too harsh? That is how billionaires look at crypto retail: as ignorant fools who do what they are told and buy what they are told to buy when they are told to buy it. That is how billionaires look at the masses. And meanwhile, they do not want the masses to know about this. So the easy way to keep the masses out is by manipulating a price chart with perfectly legal financial instruments.
For example, if you are on CoinMarketCap, you cannot help but notice what a wreck the Internet Computer all-time chart is. And you would be surprised how easy that was to set up. All you have to do is manipulate the futures market, push the price artificially high, then dump it. After that, every simple member of the crypto masses looks at the chart and thinks, oh my God, it is down 90-whatever percent, and they do not even look any further into it. Meanwhile, the billionaires are laughing and stacking.
Leverage, liquidations, and the long-short trap
Now, the most powerful way that billionaires manipulate the price charts, from what I can see, is leverage. And if this is done correctly, they can actually make money while suppressing the price. There are multiple ways to do this. One of the most irregular things you can see when you look at leverage and derivatives on Internet Computer is that the long-to-short liquidation ratio is insane. You see all these green liquidations, which are longs being liquidated. This is again where the ignorant crypto masses get exploited. The few who actually find ICP, and the crypto traders who are not in on the game, take out long positions because they see how good the tech is. They watch my content. And then they get wrecked on these long positions over and over again. The long positions create artificial sell pressure when they are liquidated.
So what the billionaires are easily able to do in this leveraged trading market is use the ICP they already have. You would only need a few hundred thousand ICP, which is pocket change to a billionaire, to do what I am describing. One of the most popular moves is to take out a bunch of longs and then sell a whole bunch of ICP at once to artificially crash the price and liquidate those longs. That further crushes the price. Then, when the price is crushed, you simply buy back the same ICP you sold, but cheaper.
This only works when there are a whole bunch of ignorant fools who then get flushed out of their ICP investments when the price dumps. People who are bullish, who say oh my God, ICP is amazing, load it up at $10. Then the price dumps to six, and the ignorant fools think that because the chart is down, everything is lost, so they dump their ICP to some billionaire who sold it to them for 10 and then rebought it for six. Rinse and repeat that formula over and over.
You can see where the price chart shows these clear manipulations. Whenever you see massive drops like this, which often happen in the middle of the night, you will see a huge drop. For example, on December 24th, ICP was at $10, and then the price instantly dumped a dollar in a very short amount of time. Or look at February, where the price was up to $8 and it dumped all the way down to under six for a minute. These manipulated sells are a very easy way to suppress the price.
Now, if you could orchestrate it so that you took out a bunch of shorts and then manipulated the price down, you could profit off the shorts too. And if you could orchestrate the entire market through wash trading, taking out longs and shorts at the right time, and then intentionally creating buys and sells at the right time, you could line your pockets with huge amounts of ICP, all while the masses look at the chart, get frustrated, turn on each other, and criticize DFINITY. The main one who loses in this scenario is DFINITY, because they hold the largest amounts of ICP. A fellow billionaire is probably not likely to just walk in and want to pump their bags. A billionaire would more than likely want to walk in and say, I want to take as much ICP off of DFINITY as possible, as cheaply as possible, so that I can control the network, or so that they will have to deal with me on the network and I can have my power.
Going deeper: fake ICP and suspended withdrawals
With all these perfectly legal financial instruments, you can go even further. Everything I have described so far is perfectly legal and perfectly easy to see, but if we go a little deeper into the conspiracy side, exchanges could potentially alter markets, wash trade, and sell fake ICP, which complicates things even more. I would imagine at least one, if not several, big exchanges are doing this exact thing. Even if you could just find one or two exchanges willing, you could have the exchanges sell fake ICP.
For example, someone getting fudded out of their investment puts 1,000 ICP on the exchange and dumps it. The exchange can then place 5,000 more ICP in sell orders to crush the price. And if you combine that with someone holding 100,000 ICP who dumps at the exact same time, then you crush all the longs and you can have the shorts taken out. You make huge money on the shorts, and then you scoop up all the ICP when it is cheaper. When the exchange calculates that the price is at rock bottom, it can use all that cash to scoop up the ICP again.
This is why, in my view, the exchanges that keep suspending ICP withdrawals whenever there is a bunch of buying pressure are more than likely the ones participating in keeping the ICP price suppressed. They are selling fake ICP, and then they suspend withdrawals because they do not actually have enough to let people withdraw. That also helps keep the price suppressed, because people get frustrated and sell their ICP since they cannot withdraw it. Then they go buy it somewhere else, which creates even more sell pressure.
The Market Is Rigged to Keep ICP Cheap
In my experience, the environment around ICP right now is absolutely rigged to keep the price artificially low. The big benefit of that, as I see it, is that you're buying ICP at probably ten times less than you would if it were trading in a fair market. The other side of the coin is that most of these other cryptos are cheating in the opposite direction. They're being financially engineered upward.
You can do the opposite of what I just described, and it seems many crypto projects do exactly this. What they do is take, say, a few million dollars and run through and buy all the crypto up at once. That's why you'll see these god candles. It's not because retail suddenly figured out some amazing piece of news. It's because one billionaire who is invested in one of these projects buys up a huge amount of it all at once to artificially push the price up. Then, even when retail goes in and sells, it doesn't come back down as hard. So most of these cryptos are being financially engineered up, but I believe they're going to crash and go to zero. Most of them, because they don't have any real value. There's nothing underneath them. They're being engineered upward.
Crypto YouTube Is Being Socially Engineered
It isn't just the prices that are engineered. In my view, crypto YouTube is being socially engineered too. I went through the top 100 YouTubers in my crypto reviews video, and the most insane thing I've ever seen in crypto is this: when you look at the top 100 crypto YouTubers, less than maybe 5% of them have given Internet Computer Protocol, the best tech in crypto, any accurate coverage at all.
One reason is that they haven't been paid to. They have been paid to push most of these other coins. The second reason is that the ones who are in the know, the ones who actually understand what's going on well enough to tell you about it, are in some cases getting paid to FUD it and to keep it quiet. All the while, they're secretly accumulating, and their billionaire friends are keeping it suppressed. The majority of crypto YouTubers have never done a single video about what I believe is the best technology in crypto, the first technology that's truly set up for mass adoption.
Once you put that together, you can see what a socially and financially engineered system you're in with crypto. If you want to look at more of the details, look at the long-to-short liquidations for something like Cardano, and look at Solana, for example, which I'd argue is being socially engineered up. You'll notice the amount of longs versus shorts liquidated is drastically different from ICP, despite the same kind of price volatility. In my experience, ICP has the weirdest, most manipulated long-to-short derivatives market I've seen anywhere in crypto, and there's much more detailed analysis you can dig into there.
How I Believe You Benefit From This
So if I'm you, I'm thinking, okay, how do we benefit from this? Number one, if you know about ICP at the same time the billionaires who are secretly accumulating it do, then in their opinion, in my opinion, and I'd say in the world's opinion, you deserve to be rich. If you can see through this financial and social engineering, I believe you deserve to be rich, and you're going to be filthy rich, because this price is suppressed by at least 90%, maybe 95%. If this were accurately valued and weren't financially engineered downward, I believe the price should be in the hundreds of dollars.
The billionaires are hoping they can extract as much ICP as possible out of DFINITY, out of the other investors, and out of retail before this becomes inevitable. Once it does become inevitable, I believe the price is going to absolutely shoot up. What makes this social and financial engineering possible in the first place is people not doing their research, buying things they have no understanding of. The antidote to that is real technology that brings in people from outside of crypto. With DFINITY set to release Caffeine AI this year, and with so many things being built on ICP, I believe we're going to get to where we belong.
Why This Is Time Sensitive
This is why I see it as time sensitive. There's a limited amount of time you can keep this suppressed, keep crypto retail blind, and keep almost all the top YouTubers silent about it. The longer this goes on, the more every single crypto YouTuber who doesn't talk about it is going to look like an absolute fool, and I think they're going to lose their audience when that audience realizes people like me have been covering this for a year and a half while their favorite crypto YouTuber never mentioned it once. So this is a limited-time game. I'm stacking, baby. I'm stacking and I'm locking. This has worked in my favor, and I'm here to help it work in your favor too.
What I think we're going to see when this price suppression stops is an unbelievable breakout. Right now, intentional sells crush the price. There will never be a market with no manipulation, but once the intentional pushing of the price down to dirt cheap stops, I believe this thing is going to run. And it will stop once there's so much retail buying and so much institutional buying that you can't use those mechanisms to keep the price down anymore. Those mechanisms only work if people are focused on the price and judge the value of something by its price rather than by the product.
So I'm really excited to see what happens. I think this is going to be an absolutely wild ride when it breaks out, and in my opinion it could go to $100 basically any time. The advantage of keeping something suppressed is that the reaction is bigger when it finally releases. It's like some of the people I see in Alcoholics Anonymous. You tell them not to date during the first year, and they suppress it, they try, they struggle. Then once that first year is up, they're suddenly all over the place, married to the first person they dated. When you suppress something, you often get an explosion whenever it finally gets out. I'm grateful to be in this before it gets out.
I hope this answers so many of the price questions you're stuck on and grinding over every day. If you want to go deeper on all of this, you can work through my ICP Crypto playlist, where I lay out the technology and the case in much more detail. I'm a full-time YouTuber, I chat on my websites built on the ICP blockchain, and I chat in my community on the ICP blockchain. I'd love for you to be part of this before the rest of the world catches on.
