Do you want to see how to purchase, download and install Sylenth1 because I really want this synthesizer, which has got 2,500 presets, and I think it’s a great value for a hundred and thirty-nine euros?

I’m excited to get this for my music and that’s why I’m making this tutorial for it.
What I’m going to do is hit “Buy Now” on the Lennar Digital website. You just search for “Sylenth1,” you can see on the screen how to spell it.
Then, I can go click “PayPal Buy Now” and this is really quick, it brings up the PayPal screen.
I’m going to show you how to install this in Ableton Live 10 as I do it in real time also, which I think is cool.
It’s securely logging me in now up in the other window and I just picked the credit card I’ve got on file. I’m literally buying this in real time because that’s how I roll. I’m going to hit my credit card and it is a hundred and sixty-seven dollars, which is a good Euro rate compared to what it used to be.
So, I hit “Pay Now,” I’m putting it on my credit card on PayPal and it is funny because it is “Pay Now,” but I’m really paying later. I’m paying in like a month, even though I will get to use it today. It’s processing on PayPal now, and then I will show you.
Oh, I’m glad I put this in the other window because it just put the code up and you would have got the code right there.
As soon as you buy it, it gives you the personal license code, and then what you need to do is download it. I’m on the next screen. It says you go to your account page and download.
So, what I do is I hit download.
“What is the point of this tutorial? I can’t see anything.”
Alright, maybe you got a point with that. That’s fine. You know what?
The stuff I do doesn’t have to make sense, does it?
So, it’s downloading.
I will show you how to do this. You can buy it on the store, I’m pretty sure, at this point.
I’m on my account page, I’ve got my license key over here and now what I do is I hit the zip file and I pull it up over in the zip file.
I’m literally doing this for the first time, so it can’t be that hard if I can just do this on the first try.
Now, if I can’t do it on the first try maybe it is that hard.
I hit the executable file like five times when I clicked on it, so I wouldn’t do that if I was you.
If you are on Windows, you need to extract this thing first. Go ahead and extract it before you try to run the executable.
Once you extract it, then you can run the executable.
I’m just going to run it and see what happens.
There we go.
Now, I’ve got the “Welcome to the Sylenth1 Setup Wizard.”
We hit “Next.”
I accept the agreement. We are just going to take that on faith.
Now, I don’t want the 32-bit plugin because I’m not running the 32-bit plugin. I don’t think I need the AAX plugin either because I’m just running this in Windows.
Now, one thing I need to pay close attention to on this, is to select the destination location.
It doesn’t matter that much where I put the resources, but I do need to put the 64-bit VST2 in the exact right file in Ableton.
So, to do that, I go over to “Preferences” in Ableton.
“God, this is so good, Jerry. You should make more tutorials.”
You go over here to the VST plugin custom folder, which I’ve chosen as “Program Files/Ableton plugins.”
All I need to do to make this work in Ableton is to hit “Browse” over here, I go over to “Ableton Plugins” and that is the right folder. I made this self-proof.
So, I put it over into “Ableton plugins,” and I hit “Next.”
I don’t know why I would need a shortcut on the “Start” menu, but fine. Just stick a shortcut in and we will call it a day.
So, I got this in. I stuck that in. There we go: “Finish.”
I just hit “Rescan” and Ableton goes through and rescans it.
So now is the moment of truth as I filmed this and live streamed this on Twitch.
We click the plugin file to see if I actually did this right and I did.
So, now I’ve got Sylenth1.
I just drag this on one of my tracks over here.
Now, I need to put my serial number in and I cannot move it.
Alright, I will move it off to the other screen and grab my serial number that it gave me upon purchasing.
Let’s see if I can do this without dropping my serial number on the screen.
I’m just going to blank my screen in case I mess it up.
Alright, I copied and pasted my serial number, and it says activating.
Good, it showed up correctly.
It says, “Thanks. Sylenth1 has been activated. Please restart Sylenth1 for the changes to take effect.”
Now, I don’t know how I’m supposed to restart this, so I will just restart Ableton Live because if I restart Ableton Live I shouldn’t possibly be able to go wrong with that, right?
So, I just closed Ableton Live.
I’d imagine the process is probably extremely similar to do this in FL Studio. I could actually open FL Studio and just show you that whole process as well.
So, I’m going to just open this again and I will prove that I can install this.
You know what?
I could probably just put this in FL Studio in like five seconds. Even though I haven’t used FL Studio in probably a year, I could just throw it in.
So, I will go over here, I will verify that this actually works and you know what, just for fun I will just throw this on in FL Studio as well because all the rest of these are in FL Studio.
I use Ableton Live 10 because it’s an absolute God level.
It’s so good.
Ableton just works ridiculously well and you should definitely use it on everything, but if you want to use something else, fine.
It’s your life.
Now, is it letting me drag Sylenth1?
Alright, it let me drag Sylenth1 over.
Now, it looks like it’s working.
Let’s test it out.
Oh, yeah. That is sweet.
Now, it says it has 2,500 presets in here.
The first thing we want to do is figure out where to look in the presets.
I’ve never seen this. I’ve never even watched a tutorial on this and I like to ask dumb questions like, how hard can it be?
I hit “Menu” and there is the presets.
It says it has 2,500, so I’m wondering how you even get to all these.
First impression, it seems like there are a lot of these. There is a lot. There is a ton of these.
That’s 512 and it says there is a lot of these. I don’t know if it’s immediately obvious how you get into all of these though. There is all of these presets and leads.
So, you got these, and then there are these pages over here. I’m not sure exactly how it’s doing this because it goes from 192. It just goes in order. You just click these little numbers up here and it moves farther over, and then you can rename right there.
You have got “Factory.”
Oh, here we go.
Look how fast I figured that out.
Just pat myself on the back.
What you need to do is go over to “Menu,” and then it has four-five-six different preset banks.
So, you go to “Preset Bank,” then there are four preset banks here.
You go to “Factory” and when you switch banks, it switches all the presets in these.
This is absolute God level stuff right here.
This is amazing.
There’s 512 in this preset bank, so when you go over to this next bank, then there’s another 512 in this one, and you can go through each of these banks.
How many does six have?
There is 130.
So, I guess it’s accurate.
It says it has over 2,500 presets. It has four different columns of selectors.
This is just amazing.
Do you just go to these different banks to switch it up?
And then look at that.
Look at all these. This is crazy. This is awesome.
For $150 or so I think this is, that is beautiful.
I’ve got just more sounds than I ever need for the rest of my music career in here.
That’s probably a lie, but that won’t be the first or the last one, if you watch any more of my videos, that you hear.
What we can do over here now is open FL Studio up.
How do we put this in FL Studio?
You see, I’ve got a lot more of these in FL Studio because I bought FL Studio originally.
I don’t even remember how to do this.
You know what?
I bet I can do it.
There we go. “File,” then “Manage Plugins.”
So, if I put the same thing in “Image-Line\Data,” I bet it might work.
You can see there is a VST one right there.
I knew this couldn’t be that hard in FL Studio.
You just need to get this plugin search path here.
Let me put another one in here.
If I stick another plugin search path, it should pull it straight out of the folder.
I just need to remember where this was installed.
It’s on the C drive, but what’s the name of this?
Linear Digital Sylenth Ableton?
I don’t know what folder I put it in.
I could just actually pull it out of the Ableton plugin folder.
I’m browsing through all of my different folders over here and I’m just going to search the PC.
In fact, I could just open Ableton at this point too.
I’ve shown you all you need to install it, so it’s obviously not that hard.
All you need to do is just find that VST plugin file there and that’s how you install Sylenth1 on FL Studio 12. I’m sure it’s very similar on 20.
I appreciate you reading or watching this.
If you have laughed at least once during this tutorial, will you please leave a like on it because you will feel good knowing you are helping other people find it and maybe they will get a laugh too?
Alright, I’m done.
