Want to Have a Date with Me?

I'm Jerry Banfield. I'm 42, divorced, a father of two, and I want a serious relationship that leads to marriage and more children. For work, I've been a full-time YouTuber and content creator since 2011, with more than a billion impressions online, and today I run six YouTube channels, a community, and a store. After a year of dating apps, matchmaking, and asking women out in person, I'm trying something different: a real first date with me, on Zoom, that you apply for here. It's free. You'll know more about me before we talk than most people know after five dates, and I'd like to know you too.

The short version, before you read my whole story

Why I'm doing this

I was with my ex-wife for about fifteen years, from 2011 on, and we divorced in December 2025. We have two kids, we share custody 50/50, I live five minutes away, and we co-parent well. The biggest reason we ended was simple and sad: she didn't want more children, and I have never been able to let go of wanting them. There's more to it, and I own my part. For years I was so distracted by work, games, and screens that I could barely be present in my own marriage. I'm not that guy anymore, and I'm not interested in becoming him again.

Then I started dating, and 2026 has humbled me. I paid for premium on Hinge, Tinder, and Bumble and deleted each of them more than once. I paid a matchmaking service $7,500 for ten matches and nine first dates that produced zero second dates. I've gone out with around 25 women in person in 2026 through friends, the yoga studio, and a speed-dating mixer.

Two of those dates taught me the most. One matchmaking date looked perfect from the first hello through the walk to her car. She gave me her number, named the beach for our second date, and then went silent for two and a half days. And in July 2026 I met a woman at hot yoga I liked so much that I told her she was my queen after a week and asked her to be exclusive on the second date. It was over within two weeks. The lesson from both was the same: I was investing too much, too fast, in women who hadn't yet shown me they were into me, and I was finding out who I was compatible with only after we'd already spent an evening together.

There was a pattern in the rest, too. Several women told me, in almost the same words, "I watched your YouTube videos and I'm not interested anymore." My honesty, my energy, and my very public life were doing my filtering for me, after the fact. That's not the women's fault. It's just an expensive order of operations.

Then in September 2026 a woman who had been watching my videos for a while called me. She said she has a hard time finding people she likes, and that for some reason she really likes me. She'd already seen the divorce, the debt, the crying, the jokes, and the bad dates, and she still wanted to talk. That call is why this page exists.

So this is my experiment. Instead of meeting a stranger and hoping she can handle who I am once she finds out, I'm putting all of it here first. If you read this and think "no thanks," you've saved us both an evening, and I mean that kindly. If you read it and feel a pull, you know where the button is. And if you've watched a hundred of my videos, please still come argue with me about something on the date. I'd like to be known by you, not just watched.

What I'm looking for

I'll separate what I actually need from what I'd like, because they're different and I don't want to waste your time.

What I need, honestly

  • A woman who wants to have children with me. Wanting kids together is the one thing I can't be flexible on. It's why my marriage ended, and I'd be lying to both of us if I said otherwise.
  • A serious, monogamous relationship that could become marriage. I'm not interested in casual dating, hookups, or an open relationship. My preference is marriage with children, and I'd like my next marriage to be my last.
  • A healthy life together and a substance-free home. I've been sober since 2014. You don't have to be in recovery yourself, but I want a home with no alcohol and no recreational substances, and a partner who takes care of her body and mind.
  • Openness to eventually living in St. Petersburg, Florida. I'm rooted here until my kids are grown. That's not something I can move.
  • Genuine, mutual enthusiasm. I want a woman who is as into me as I am into her, who texts back, who shows up. Effort is attractive to me, and its absence is the one red flag I no longer argue with.
  • No violence, yelling, name-calling, or silent treatment, from either of us. I want a home where feelings get said out loud and handled with care.

What I'd love, but can be flexible on

  • Age: I don't put a hard limit on it. Wanting and being able to have children together is the real constraint.
  • Your kids: Completely welcome. I'd be glad to meet another single mom who wants more children, and just as glad to meet a woman who has none yet.
  • Emotional openness: I do best with a woman who can say what she feels and hear what I feel, who is compassionate and slow to judge.
  • An active life: Tennis, yoga, walks around the lake, the beach, live shows. I'd rather do things together than watch things together.
  • Interest in my work: My videos are a huge part of my life. You don't have to be in them, but it matters to me that you're genuinely curious about what I do and proud of it.
  • Working on yourself: I value a relationship where both people are consciously growing, whatever form that takes for you.

Things I'm still figuring out

  • Faith. I've called myself a Christian, I've said we are all God, and this month I've said out loud that I don't know what I believe anymore. If you have a faith, I'll honor it. If you want a settled answer from me right now, I don't have one.
  • Work and roles. I've said I'd love a partner who stays home with our children, and I've also said I want you to have complete freedom in your work and that I'm happy to carry more at home if your career matters to you. Both are true. Let's talk about what fits.
  • Politics. I'm fairly neutral and can be with someone anywhere on the spectrum, as long as you're thoughtful and kind.
Apply for a Date with Me If this sounds like the relationship you want too, I'd love to hear from you.

What I bring to a relationship

I'd rather describe my actual life than sell you a version of me, so here's what a partner could reasonably expect.

Affection, a lot of it. Physical touch is my primary love language. I'm very affectionate, I hold hands, I'm comfortable with public affection, and words of affirmation come naturally to me. I want to be obsessed with my partner and to feel her obsessed with me, a ride-or-die partnership where we think about each other all day.

A sober, healthy daily life. I've been sober since 2014 through AA. I play tennis most weeks, run, do yoga at home, get a weekly massage, eat mostly whole plant foods, and I haven't been sick in four years. I'm about 5'11" and 170 pounds, roughly 80 pounds lighter than my heaviest.

Being a dad. My daughter is 11 and my son is 8. We're at the park, on Roblox, and at school pickup, and I'm a big part of their lives every week. If you have kids, I'll show up for them the same way.

Emotional honesty. I'm empathic, I look people in the eye, and I cry when something moves me. I'd rather have a hard conversation than a quiet resentment.

Fun. My first priority on a date is that we laugh. I make jokes, I tease, and then I'll swing into a deep talk about art or the meaning of life. A good day with me is a hot yoga class together, a whole-food lunch, tennis, a walk around Crescent Lake or a sunset at the beach, a board game, and a live show or a movie out on the weekend. Not a lot of Netflix on the couch.

Creativity and work ethic. I make videos nearly every day. I started six new YouTube channels in 2026 and they've passed millions of views. I write books, I stream, I build things on my website. If you'd enjoy giving me feedback, appearing in a vlog, or making a video with me about dating, that would light me up. If you'd rather stay off camera, that's okay too.

Generosity. Even with what is currently a negative net worth after my recent divorce, I hand $20 to every homeless person I meet in person. I'd rather be someone who gives than someone who has.

What you should know before you apply

These are the parts that have ended things for other women, so you get them up front.

I'm rooted here. My kids are here, their mom is five minutes away, and I'm not leaving St. Petersburg while they're growing up. A serious relationship with me eventually means a life in Florida. I'm not able to promise a partner housing, travel funding, or help with immigration, and I won't pretend otherwise.

My life is public. I've posted my net worth, my divorce, my bad dates, and my crying on YouTube. Hundreds of thousands of people have watched, and other channels react to my videos and sometimes get more views than I do. This first date would be published too, with your approval. If you date me, some of your life becomes visible whether you're in the videos or not. That is a real cost, and it's fair to decide it's too high.

We can still have a private relationship. My career is public, but our relationship doesn't have to be. I won't publish your private messages or our off-camera conversations without your permission, and before I share any story that involves you, we'll talk about what we're both comfortable making public. An argument or a breakup is not automatically a video.

My finances, as of September 18, 2026. I have $40,808 in assets, about half cash and half crypto, and $215,367 in debt, which puts my net worth at about negative $174,560. The debt is a $119,000 SBA disaster loan from 2020 and 2021 at about 3.5%, plus around $90,000 on credit cards, and all of that card debt was borrowed in 2026 to buy myself time to build my business instead of taking a job. I rent a 1,400-square-foot house for $2,700 a month with a filming studio and room for the kids. I don't own a home. My business made at least $6,000 last month and I've earned more than $2 million online over my career, so I'm confident about where this is going. I have a very high earning potential, and I'm confident I can consistently earn $20,000 or more a month at full capacity within the next year. I'm rebuilding financially, and I'm responsible for that work. What I'd love is a relationship where we encourage each other's goals, celebrate progress, and make room for both of our lives, and if creating together interests you, I'd enjoy that too. You should still know I'm building from below zero right now, and I post a net worth update every month so you can watch it.

I've made real relationship mistakes. I went all-in on a woman after one week. I've given up on women too quickly. I've been too serious and transactional about dating. In my marriage I was distracted for years, and my drinking before 2014 hurt people who loved me. I can say hurtful things without ever raising my voice, and I've had a lifelong pattern of swallowing hurt until it comes out sideways. I'm working on all of it, out loud, in AA and in my videos.

I'm intense. I've been obsessive about business, games, money, and yes, women. I fall hard. I've learned that it works when it's mutual and wrecks me when it isn't, which is why "into me" is on the needs list.

I hold some unconventional views. I bet big on a cryptocurrency and lost, and I still hold some. I borrow on 0% credit cards on purpose as a business strategy. I don't carry health insurance, I'm skeptical of a lot of conventional medicine, and I've been publicly canceled before. My faith is unsettled right now. If you need a conventional, low-drama partner, I'm probably not him, and I'd rather you know now.

I'm 12 years sober. That's a strength, and it also means a home with no alcohol, no weed, and no wine with dinner. It's not negotiable for me.

How a date with me works

You read the short version at the top. Here is the whole thing, start to finish, so nothing is a surprise.

  1. You fill out the application. It asks for the basics, a handful of compatibility questions, and how you'd like me to reach you: text message, WhatsApp, or email. It takes a few minutes.
  2. I read every application myself. If I think we could be a match, I reach out through the contact method you chose and we agree on a time directly. There is no paid booking, no calendar coupon, and no fee at any point.
  3. We start the Zoom call privately. Before anything is recorded, you briefly hold up a government-issued photo ID so I can see the photo and your date of birth. Cover your address and document number. I don't photograph, screenshot, or record it. This is a quick age and identity check, not a background check. A background check and full identity verification may be required later, before we ever meet in person.
  4. We agree on recording and publishing. This is a separate conversation before I press record. Submitting an application does not give me permission to publish your application, your photos, or your contact details, and it never will.
  5. We have the date. A real conversation to see if we like each other. Either of us can end the date or ask to stop recording at any point, no explanation needed. Applying or showing up doesn't guarantee a second date, a published video, or a relationship, and I'd rather we both be honest about that than pretend.
  6. You review the proposed episode. I send you a Google Drive review copy or an unlisted YouTube link before anything is published. You can flag private details or moments you're not comfortable sharing, and I need your explicit approval of the video, its title, and its thumbnail before it goes public. Silence is not approval. One honest note: anyone who has an unlisted link can watch or forward it, so I'll treat that link carefully and ask you to as well.
  7. We agree on how you appear. You can use your first name or a nickname. A nickname is not anonymity when your face and voice are on camera, so please decide with that in mind. If you have a channel or a public following and want it promoted, I'm happy to tag or link your agreed accounts. That's optional, and I can't promise any particular number of views or subscribers.
  8. You can share it too. Once a video is approved, you get the finished copy and can share the agreed content on your own channels under our participant agreement. The intended arrangement is that each of us keeps the earnings from our own channels.
  9. Future participation is always your choice. Dating me doesn't mean you have to keep appearing in videos. Any future public livestream would need its own separate agreement.

This page is my explanation and my invitation. It isn't a substitute for the participant release we'd go over together before recording, and it isn't legal advice.

Questions you probably have

Do I have to be a fan or watch your videos?

No. Having seen some of my videos helps you know what you're getting into, but liking my videos and liking me in a conversation are different things. I'd rather find that out together.

Does this cost anything?

No. Applying is free and the date is free. There's no fee, no booking payment, and nothing to buy at any step.

Can I apply from outside the United States?

Yes. I'm open to a woman anywhere in the world. We'd need to find a time that works across time zones, and for anything serious you'd need to be open to eventually living in St. Petersburg, Florida. I can't promise travel funding or immigration help.

Is the first date livestreamed?

No. The first date is a private Zoom call that's recorded, and nothing is public until you've reviewed the proposed video, title, and thumbnail and explicitly approved them. Any future livestream would only ever happen by a separate agreement between us.

What if I don't want the date published?

Then it isn't. Recording and publishing are agreed separately before I press record, and you can withdraw approval for anything you haven't approved yet. Once a video is public, I can take it down from my channels, but I can't promise it disappears from the internet or that nobody else reposts it, so please decide carefully before approving.

Can I use a nickname?

Yes. You choose the first name or nickname that appears. Just know that a nickname isn't anonymity when your face and voice are on video.

Why the ID check?

So I know you're an adult and that the person on the call is the person who applied. You briefly show a government photo ID with the address and document number covered. I don't record, screenshot, or store it. It's a quick check, not a background check, and I'm not independently verifying everything anyone tells me. If a Zoom date leads toward meeting in person, a background check and full identity verification may be required before we meet.

What happens to my application answers?

I read them, I use them to decide whether to reach out, and I use your contact details only to contact you. Application responses, photos, and contact details are never published as content.

What if we're clearly not a match?

Then we say so kindly and move on. I've had dates end in five minutes, and I'd rather that than an hour of pretending. Nobody owes the other a second date, and you can end the call or stop recording whenever you want.

I have my own channel. Can you promote it?

If you want, I'll tag or link the accounts we agree on, and you get the approved finished video to share on your own channels. Each of us keeps the earnings from our own channels. I can't promise views, subscribers, or income.

Are you dating other applicants?

Yes, until one of us wants to be exclusive and the other wants that too. I'm going to be transparent about it, and you'll be able to see other Zoom dates I publish.

If we start dating, do I have to keep appearing in videos?

No. Dating me never obligates you to be on camera. Any future public livestream would need its own separate agreement.

What language do we speak?

Being fluent in English is a requirement so we can communicate effectively. It's the only language I speak well enough to date in.

What I do with your application. The form collects only what I need to decide whether to reach out and how to contact you. Your answers, photos, and contact details are never published or shared as content, and applying doesn't give me permission to publish anything. Please don't upload or send any ID document with your application; the ID check happens live on the call and is never saved. Recording and publishing your date are agreed separately, in writing, before we record.

If this sounds like you

I'm not looking for a thousand applications. I'm looking for one woman who reads all of this and thinks, "Yeah. Him." If that's you, I'd love to meet you, and if it isn't, thank you for reading this far and I hope you find exactly what you're looking for.
