Why I Invested My Entire Life Savings Into Internet Computer Protocol
I want to explain to you why I invested my entire life savings into Internet Computer Protocol, ICP crypto. Right now that's tens of thousands of dollars. Every single dime. I don't have anything else like stocks or gold, nothing. I'm all in on Internet Computer Protocol. First of all, this is not financial advice. I'm not a financial advisor, and I'm sharing my own experience and beliefs here. I'm obviously holding. I think I have over 10,000 ICP across ICP and ICP altcoin values today. I've been constantly accumulating for a year and a half, and I want to explain why.
There are so many reasons I've invested in this, but let me give you everything very simply upfront. Internet Computer Protocol is a new way to build the entire internet. I've got a massive presentation and slideshow that I'm going to go through to show you and explain all of this. What I see is that if you haven't heard of Internet Computer Protocol, to me it is the best kept secret, not just in crypto, but perhaps in the whole world of investing. Why is that? Because it has a massive value proposition.
Some people ask, well, what about the rest of crypto? When I talk to people in person, they say, "Well, it's a crypto, so what about all the others?" And I tell them that 99.9% of the rest of crypto is, to me, absolute speculation and not something I want to invest in. I only see that ICP is different. And here's why it's different.
Websites and Apps 100% on the Blockchain
Internet Computer Protocol hosts websites and apps 100% on the blockchain. Some of you might be thinking, wait, these other ones don't? That is correct. Just in terms of web hosting alone, this is far better than any other solution I've found since being online in 2011. Then there are applications like OpenChat, where I run my JBBJ Millionaires chats, my best, highest level channel. With OpenChat, the whole application is directly on the blockchain, and that makes it special. To me, this is insanely undervalued technology for what it does.
But the biggest downside to me, the real problem with ICP, is that the tech is so good it actually is dangerous. I've laid this out in a recent video on my original channel called "Worst Case Scenario for ICP," so if you want to hear that in more detail you can find it there. I'll briefly summarize it as follows. ICP's tech is so good that it is challenging things like Google and Amazon. Because when you can put things fully on the blockchain, that is so much more secure, so much more decentralized, the governance is transparent, and it has all kinds of huge potential. It has huge potential, not just for competition, but it threatens companies and people who stand to lose a lot of money and power if this gets adopted.
Technology That Threatens Entrenched Power
What I've noticed is that in some areas, like unfortunately in healthcare, the best things are actively suppressed. I'm the healthiest I've ever been in my whole life right now, and that's because I've learned a lot of alternative approaches that are actively suppressed. In my experience, the healthcare system is largely about keeping people sick, because sick people are profitable people. People who are vulnerable and sick tend to do what they're told in other areas of their life and are very easy to control. Right now the internet is built in a way that's very insecure, very easy to hack, and very easy for a handful of people to control. ICP's tech is the best solution I've seen for that today. And that's the biggest potential downside: the people in power don't want to lose control to a system that offers so much better technology.
However, for regular people like you and me, this technology is a big deal. As I showed with OpenChat, having my community on OpenChat instead of Discord or Telegram means I don't have to worry about getting banned or censored. I don't have to worry about getting hacked. I don't have to worry about a whole bunch of bots either. I've used Discord. I've used Telegram. With OpenChat, you can understand why this works better. I am so into this that I sold all my Bitcoin and all my altcoins for ICP.
Why I Sold Everything and Went All In
I did a ton of research, hundreds of hours, before I did that. I didn't just YOLO in. I've YOLOed into Steem, YOLOed into Dash in 2017, and YOLOed into some other coins like Crypto.com in 2022, and I lost big on every one of those. In the short term I made gains and I sold, but if I had just held the entire time I would have lost big, and lots of investors lost big. I don't ever want to invest in anything again, in my view, that doesn't have extremely strong fundamentals and look insanely undervalued based on the tech.
The reason I'm all in on ICP is that it solves huge real world problems. Not stuff like, oh, we can send transactions faster. That's not a big real world problem. ICP solves huge real world problems, and I'll lay out some of them right now. One of the biggest is the roughly $10 trillion in yearly cybersecurity losses. Internet Computer Protocol is the absolute best solution I'm seeing anywhere in the world for this. This is real technology that addresses one of the biggest problems in the world.
However, I will say that there are some insiders who I believe are very intentionally profiting, and who are perhaps even using hacking groups to funnel themselves money. Perhaps even insiders at certain companies are intentionally profiting off of these cybersecurity vulnerabilities. And if you use ICP, that shuts them out. So the people with the biggest levels of power are likely to not be a big fan of this, at least publicly, until they buy a whole bunch of it privately.
A Genuinely New Financial System
Here's another big solution. We hear talk about a new financial system. The fact is that our financial system now relies on what's called "trusted" or centralized, or in my case I'd call unaccountable, third-party entities like governments and banks who are not transparent about what they're doing with money, who print the money out of thin air without you and I having any say over it. A true new financial system will make governments and banks serve us rather than controlling and manipulating us. Simply using a crypto to send payments from one bank to another is not a new financial system. That is an incremental upgrade from what we already have.
A new financial system allows us to do things like I've done in my OpenChat, where I've sent thousands of people my meme coin, where I've given away tens of thousands of dollars to what looks like tens of thousands of people over the last year through these giveaways. That's a new financial system. I'm not going through some third party in the middle. OpenChat is helping me send a transaction, but I have the crypto in my wallet, and when I click send, it goes right out to your wallet. All you have to do is click a button. So that is a new financial system where I can send anybody any money I want right now. Someone posts in the chat, and I can just send it right now.
What's special about this is that I've done it directly on the blockchain. I have not done what you do when you're using the rest of crypto. With the rest of crypto, you are going to a website that's hosted on a centralized third party like Coinbase or Binance, and even wallets like MetaMask have control over the website and the technology they use to interface you with the blockchain. Only ICP truly cuts out all the other middlemen. I can send a few dollars worth of my meme coin right there, totally for free. To me, this technology is the absolute biggest deal in the world that I see right now, and this is why I am all in on it. If you want to go deeper into how I think about all of this, you can explore my ICP Crypto playlist.
