The Queen Video Sold for $2,000
This is Jerry Banfield with my August 31st, 2026 vlog. The leaderboard at jerrybanfield.com shows people who have dropped almost $3,000 with me, and I'm so grateful for the queen video — I sold a video last night to the profile "Jerry Fan" for $2,000. That is absolutely incredible, and it has really made my day today. At the same time, I'm not sure what I'm even going to say in this one. This is going to be interesting, because literally since I did the last vlog, I've stayed in my house. I've not left my house. I still need to take the trash out. I've literally not left my house in almost, I don't know, twenty hours or so. But then again, it seems like a long time ago that I went out with two different women yesterday and drove up to Tampa and down to Sarasota. It's funny — that was literally yesterday.
What I've been consumed with today is a post I did that was very successful marketing, where I said I'm not going to keep marketing ICP for free. It goes out to 40,000 impressions on X, and all kinds of people start whining and crying and getting upset. And I can handle it. If you're going to be a content creator, you're going to need to be very comfortable with a lot of whining and complaining and talking junk, because that's how you get free marketing. That's exactly how you get free marketing — with a bunch of whiners and complainers talking a bunch of garbage. And I am comfortable with that today. I realize that some of my best marketing is going to come from stirring up the pot, from confronting and challenging people. And that's what I'm doing.
It's funny, the assumptions people make. I said I'm not just going to keep covering ICP and giving tens of thousands of dollars a month in value for free. So people assume I'm not going to do ICP videos anymore, because they assume I'm not going to get paid. I assume that I am going to get paid, and I'm going to campaign constantly to get the money that matches the value I produce. And I'm really grateful, because this feels like the money matching the value I produce: over $2,500 has come in over the last week, and I'm grateful these people recognize that I produce some amazing content. I'm super grateful for that, and I'm going to keep producing more. I just got my third YouTube channel fully monetized with ad revenue today, which is really exciting. And my vlog just took off — a lot of my videos keep hitting one out of ten, one out of ten, more watch time, more subscribers. I love that.
A Full Day at Home Alone
I'm really grateful for this time at home. I've been dating and trying so hard to date, and yet when that works out, I might not have all day at home alone like this. Yes, I'd love to have a woman. And yet there were days when I was with my wife — now ex-wife — when I wished I could just film videos at home alone, because she was always there working, and I had to plan around all the stuff she wanted. Today I have literally just filmed videos, cleaned the house, and eaten food all day, and it has been awesome. I think this is the sixth video I've filmed today. I've filmed a couple of crypto videos, a couple of dating videos, and a YouTube video for Jerry Banfield for Creators. And I'm glad I'm in a little more settled-down state tonight — a little more chill, a little more relaxed.
It's funny: the date I had last night with the woman I did a couple of videos about now feels like it was a long time ago. It's amazing how relative things are and how fast life moves — life is changing and moving and growing every day, and I'm not static; I don't stay the same every day. I'm excited even though nothing has happened on the dating front today. Look how fast stuff can happen. After all that action and adventure with the dating yesterday, I'm kind of like: I don't need to do anything with dating today. I texted this one single mom I'm trying to go out with and said I hope she has a nice weekend with her son. She didn't reply. And I'm like, do I even want to try and schedule something with her this week? Maybe, but she already flaked twice. Do I want to try a third time? I don't know about that.
Life is good, and I love how calm I am. I talked to another creator today who was encouraging me to just chill. I'm like, I know what I need to do, and if other people are bothered by it, that doesn't matter. I know what I need to do, and I'm going to do it. The Internet Computer Protocol's Network Nervous System needs to create its own money for marketing, and I'm going to take the lead on championing that cause. It feels good to have a cause to go after and to not be surprised by the reaction. A lot of us are so afraid of pissing people off. A lot of us are so afraid of getting caught. And you know what? I don't read it. I avoid reading it. If you don't have anything I want to hear, and I'm comfortable where I'm at, I will actively try to ignore whatever all these people are saying. I've heard from others about all the quote-unquote controversy. I'm on my own path. I know what I need to do, while others are getting emotionally reactive. People posting a bunch of garbage is free marketing for me. The same people that are in an uproar and all pissy today will be reposting my stuff tomorrow — some of them. And I'm okay with that. In fact, it's fun. The only thing worse than having people all upset and frustrated talking crap about me is being ignored. I love it.
What's beautiful is I can stay calm among whatever theoretical storm is out there. I was walking around last night thinking, this is a beautiful place. The one woman I went on a date with was talking about all this negative stuff, and I'm like: yes, there is a lot of garbage in the world, but there's a lot of beauty. I'd say there's probably more beauty than garbage. There's probably more joy than suffering. And I'm very much interested in maximizing the joy and, whenever the suffering comes, making it better — making it productive. Lots of times the path to change, to growth, and to evolution is going to be walked through controversy. It's going to be walked through people whining and complaining and going unconscious and spewing a bunch of not very well thought out stuff.
Professionals Get Paid: The Three-Pointer Test
I feel like I can understand it, because some people look at me up here posting videos and get jealous of the money I'm making. It's like, "Well, I post content too and I don't get paid." Yeah — that's because hardly anybody watches or cares about your content. It's because you're not a professional. There are lots of people who throw the football or shoot hoops. I'm going to go shoot three-pointers later, and if there are enough basketball hoops open at my daughter's basketball practice, I have no expectation that I should get hundreds of dollars for going and shooting some three-pointers, because I'm not a professional basketball player. Nobody is paying to see me play basketball. I am a professional content creator. I'm very good at what I do. I have a lot of experience. I draw people in emotionally, because I lead with that.
This video is such an example of abundance. I could feel this money coming before it came in. I could feel the opportunities. In my experience, the secret to manifesting is to be able to feel it: I can feel my queen — I'm not going to identify her prematurely again — but I can feel the amazing women, multiple women, that are on their way. In my mind, there are hundreds of women all trying to push each other out of the way to be my woman, to be my queen. And there's all kinds of money coming at me from all different directions. I feel all of that now, and I feel the gratitude for it. Thank you for all the money that's on the way. Thank you for all the women that are on their way into my life. And what an adventure to not know exactly who it is going to be. This is so cool. If you had told me a month ago, when I sent that video to the queen, that the video would be worth two thousand dollars, I'd have said that is so crazy. And I'm wondering today: what am I doing today that might be worth two thousand dollars in the future? What are you doing today that might be worth two thousand dollars in your future? There's so much abundance and so much opportunity in life.
I'm grateful that people helped me identify my scarcity mindset. Dating helped me identify my scarcity mindset. My ex-wife pointed out that my dating attitude could improve, and literally a day or two after that, I met two women and went out on dates with both of them in the same day — because my attitude about women improved. I opened myself to new opportunities, and they were right there ready for me. I've potentially got a date lined up for tomorrow, and it looks like I've got a date lined up for six days from now — she looks amazing on paper. I'm still up in the air about dating apps. I would love to win the game of dating apps — I'd love to meet a woman on a dating app. But I'd also love to meet a woman in person. I'd love to meet a woman through my matchmaking service. I'd love to meet a woman overseas. The biggest way to feel abundance is to see all these possibilities — that all of those are possible.
I'm grateful I've been saying thank you more. Thank you to all the women I've gone out with this year — I'm not sure exactly how many, but we're over twenty, maybe close to twenty-five. I'm so grateful for all these women I've gone out with and for everything I've learned from them. And thank you for all the love and support from the top fans who have been there when I really needed you the most, in my first six months back as a creator online. People have shown up in amazing ways. And what's funny: the person who bought the video about the queen might use it to roast me and make fun of me. I don't care. What an amazing position to be in in life, where people can be making fun of you, gossiping about you, and trying to make you look like a fool — and not only do I not care, I love it. Go ahead and make fun of me and make me look like a fool.
Dating Matters, and It Pays
I don't care. I love it. What if we could approach life like that — with the kind of love where we're just happy to love everything that's going on? I am so excited to see the woman that wants to be with me too, and to offer myself to her. What a beautiful thing that's going to be, especially when so many people told me dating doesn't matter. Here's the funny thing: I've told everybody that dating matters a lot. My business is my first priority, but the dating is a close second — and it helps my business. This $2,000 that just came in was off my dating video and my dating content. And meanwhile, the vlog I filmed this in is a $500 sponsored crypto video. It makes me wonder what else is going to happen.
Somebody just asked me about dating coaching. They're like, "Why would I want to work with you as a dating coach?" I'm like: because I'm actually doing this right now. If I were a professional basketball player, I'd be in the league, playing on the court right now — not sitting on the sidelines coaching. If I wanted to become a professional basketball player, I'd rather have a mentor who was currently a professional basketball player than a coach who did it before. I'd want to hear from somebody who's in the game now, not somebody who was in the game before. I mean, I'd take help either way, but the ideal mentor is someone who's in the game now.
It's funny to think that if you'd told me, back when I was suffering through everything that happened with the queen, that someday I was going to make $2,000 selling a video about her — I don't even think I could have had that thought. It's like: you're going to make this really embarrassing video, but you're going to sell it for $2,000. I'm like, what? And it just makes me wonder what else I don't know about. What other things are going to happen? A lot of times our minds are pretty good at predicting worst-case scenarios — we can figure out all the ways things could go wrong — but this is one of those scenarios I couldn't have imagined. There was a guy who submitted my contact form to tell me that somebody wanted $2,000 for the video, and I sent him a message on WhatsApp to say thank you: you are the one whose message got me to list this video for $2,000. And that shows an openness. I had an openness to the world — like, you know what, I'm open to this opportunity, and I will let it happen.
The queen said she didn't want me to sell the video. At $500 I was like, eh, I'll say no. At $2,000? I don't care if you don't want me to sell the video — I'm selling the video. If there's no good relationship with you here anyway, and you don't want to meet up with me anyway, I certainly am going to take my $2,000 and sell the video. And I'm grateful for the video I made about the yoga studio today — that one went off harder than any of my other videos. I had a feeling that something was going to happen there, and it happened, and it made for great content.
Living the Journey and Documenting It
Now I'm wondering: am I living my whole life to make content at this point, or am I really living my life for the purpose of living it? At this point, they can't be separated. The journey and the documentation of the journey is the most precious thing. This is the content I wish I would have made since day one — I wish I had done a video like this every day. And I hope I inspire more people to do vlogs like this. Be authentic. Talk about what's going on. Share your life, share it and post it, and give us the real stuff. My vlogs get attention because I give you the real stuff: this is what I'm wondering about, this is what I'm thinking about.
I'm so grateful — this has really made my week. And whoever bought this video, I hope they're watching. It's a great thing to let go. I released that video to Jerry Fan, and I don't know what's going to happen with it, but I did what I needed to do. It's like a child: I contributed my seed, and now it's going to have a life of its own that doesn't even have much to do with me. What an amazing journey this has been. I remember having a sense when I got divorced that I was going to have an amazing adventure ahead of me, and now I'm really tapping into it and feeling it. This is awesome. This is great fun.
Here's what I'm doing with the money. I used this money to pay off that ICP loan, so I could unlock my $8,000 in ICP that I'd used to get a $2,500 loan. I paid that off with this money, and now I'm going to snowball it into some DeFi and see if I can start making $100 or $200 a day on DeFi. Then I'm going to use that DeFi money to make videos on my Crypto Reviews channel, and I'm going to have a referral link, and I'm just going to print as much money as I can. Isn't that awesome? It's funny — I was lying in bed six months ago, afraid of what was going to happen with money, and I was praying for guidance. Then the simple thought came: go back to YouTube. Lots of times the way forward to get what we want is obvious, but we negotiate and debate and explain why we shouldn't go that way. I'm glad I went this way. This has been awesome.
So I'm amazed — I got a seventeen-minute vlog where I don't feel like I really talked about anything. But after the action-packed day I had yesterday, it's nice to have a low-key, chill day today: to just stay at home and film videos all day, to stay in the house when I was out all day yesterday. One of the most beautiful things in life is the contrast — and if you want to see both sides of it, day after day, the action-packed days and the chill ones are all there in my Daily Vlogs playlist.
I'm setting myself up to really appreciate a woman that's right for me, because I've gone out with at least twenty women this year that weren't right for me. I really took my ex-wife for granted for a lot of years. I got used to thinking, I did this, I won, and I can just do whatever I want now. The next woman — I pray that I never, ever stop appreciating her. That I always remember what it was like going out here and dealing with all these random women: women that pull away, women that are toxic and crazy — and knowing that I bring that to the table sometimes myself. Sometimes we just don't fit together. How beautiful it will be when finally a woman and I do fit together.
I feel like I'm surrounded by women all desperate to grab me up. I don't know where they are or what they look like, but it feels good. And I hope I can help you tap into these things for yourself. Thank you. Today we crossed a thousand subscribers on the Jerry Banfield channel — thank you for being a part of that. I'll see you tomorrow.
