Two big podcasts found me on TikTok
Apparently, I can't stop marketing ICP for free, even if I want to. I've created so much momentum and talked so much about ICP that now two big podcasts both just reached out to me on TikTok, of all places, where I just created a new crypto account in the last month. They both reached out to me, and they both want to have me talk to them about crypto.
So I did a call with one of them today. And they asked me questions about big general stuff, the crypto market, and crypto beginners. They wanted to know, okay, what advice would you give, or not financial advice, of course, but if somebody is new in crypto, they want to learn, they've heard things, where would they start?
And I said, the first thing to do would be to start asking AI about the actual crypto technology. Before that, don't buy anything. Don't buy anything. And learn about that. Learn about the actual technology behind crypto. Don't buy anything, because as soon as you buy something, you're going to get locked in by confirmation bias. And this is a team of very smart people that's done a lot of interviews. It's very well known. And they're all nodding, like, yeah.
Which coin stands out to me? It has to be ICP
And then they said, okay, well, which coin stands out to you? If somebody did want to buy something, which coin should they look at first? And I said, it has to be ICP. For the average person, most average people are not trying to sit there and become crypto traders. They're like, okay, tell me where the best opportunity is. And to me, in my opinion, the best opportunity is ICP based on the technology.
And they said, well, okay, can you help us understand? So I explained the technology some, but they're like, can you show us what the technology can do? I said, yes. So I said, come on over to my website at jerrybanfield.com. I'm going to show you what this tech can do. Like, this is my website that's hosted fully on the blockchain, where I'm selling the outfits I'm wearing on eBay now. This is Jerry Banfield's VIP night outfit. So I told them, I said, let me show you what this tech can do. First off, this whole website's made on blockchain. I explained to them why having it on blockchain matters. And they're like, well, why does it matter? Show us an example of where the tech makes a difference.
Showing them Meme Coin Dynasty
I said, okay, look at jerrybanfield.com. Now, I'm going to show you a game. I made a game called Meme Coin Dynasty, which you can buy for $9 with a credit card or with ICP. And then I said, let me show you what this game can do. And they said, can you screen share with us? Show us. We're very interested. I said, yes. Let me show you what this game can do.
So I click in, and Max Resist, for example, has bought the game. And he's got his peak market cap up to $8 million on his meme coin, which is awesome in just 87 days. That is amazing. That was pretty tough to do. So this game has built-in leaderboards. And he can jump in and resume this game from anywhere he can sign in.
And what's amazing is that this game is monetized and hosted on ICP. It's protected from people cheating it or faking it because it's with the blockchain. This game is an example of what you can do with ICP tech that would be very difficult to mimic doing it somewhere else. If you did this somewhere else, the hosting costs could get expensive. Someone could just hack the game. They could cheat the leaderboard. Monetizing it could be difficult. Having payments, like crypto integrated, all of that would be difficult. Using AI to upgrade the game, all that would be difficult.
And these guys, and there's a woman on the team too, the team was smart and they understood. They're like, wow. Yeah, that solved a whole lot of problems at once. I said, yes, let me show you. So I click on play the game. And this loads straight up on my website. And this has my meme coin in here.
Playing the game in real time, every action on the blockchain
And then I show them playing the game in real time. And I explain what's special, what's different that's happening with this, and how it goes back and forth every single action, like when I click 12 ICP. And with the technology, as far as I can see, you could do this with real meme coins if you wanted to. You could have actual meme coins paired with this. And I don't do it because the laws in Florida would be inconvenient to try and navigate. So I just made a game out of it. But you could literally launch something much more advanced than this.
So I show them playing the game. They're like, wow, this is going back and forth to the blockchain. Yes. And I explained how you could do something more advanced than what I'm showing. What I'm showing is kind of a thing you could just throw together in a couple of hours with Claude. I'm trying to pump this meme coin. I finally got this meme coin up to $3,200 in 13 days, which is not going very well, actually. So we're going to give tokens to a small creator and hope that they pump this thing.
And when I show them this, they're like, this is amazing. They get it, that they're trying to make a game with AI and host it somewhere and monetize it and paywall it and prevent it from being cheated or hacked. All of that together is difficult.
Micro transactions and computation on demand
And then I explained how ICP is able to do micro transactions and micro computation on demand. And they understood. Normally you have to have a server. So hosting a game like this could normally get expensive, or the game could crash out pretty easily. And they're like, so you're saying only when people actually use it, they get charged? They're like, wow, that's amazing.
They hadn't heard much about ICP. And now they know about ICP. And there's another podcast to go. And this actually makes me a little more bullish, because I figure there's some big conspiracy. Maybe there is in some places, but this is nice that there are big audiences that just don't know about ICP. You can find more like this in my Tech playlist. I'm going to take this call here.
