One of you asked, Jerry, why are you so bullish on ICP? I'm so bullish on ICP because, to me, it is the only crypto that has absolutely everything I'm looking for, and the market cap is very small compared to what it offers. So let me walk you through it quickly.
The technology is, in my opinion, unbeatable
It has the largest research and development team in blockchain. It has the only crypto that can actually do AI on chain, which is a world's first and, to me, a massive market cap potential. If you're into DeFi, it has the best voting staking rewards I've seen anywhere — you can get 15% indefinitely right now in ICP.
The technology is, in my view, absolutely unbeatable. It is the first Bitcoin and Ethereum layer two on the exact same infrastructure, and it has built-in HTTPS outcalls, so you don't need any oracles to run it.
It's the only thing I'd use to run real Web3
But more than that, Internet Computer Protocol is the only thing you can use to actually run real Web3. Real Web3 must be fully on chain in order for tokens to have real value, and for that you need a world computer that everyone can build the entire thing from — the website on up. Internet Computer Protocol also has, to me, the best solution for cybercrime and cybersecurity — which is a $10 trillion problem — by serving the web directly from smart contracts. This technology is just nothing even close to this good in crypto, and crypto is going towards a blockchain singularity: one chain does everything.
We're not going to have a billion chains in the future. It's just like with many other emerging technologies — often there's a bunch of things to start, and they all collapse into the best. And to me, in crypto, if you're not in the best when it's undervalued, like Ethereum eight years ago, everything else is a waste of your time, and you're missing out. That's my opinion, not financial advice.
The efficiency numbers that sold me
On Internet Computer, you can do five gigabytes on chain for $25, because it's just $5 a gigabyte. That's thousands of times more efficient than anything else. If you compare this to other layer ones out there, Internet Computer Protocol's average million instructions executed is doing thousands of times more computation — tens of thousands more times computation on average per second — than Cardano, for example, which has a bigger market cap right now. It's doing hundreds of times more computation per second than Avalanche and Solana, which also have bigger market caps.
To me, the only thing standing in the way of ICP dominating and going to number three, and then even flipping Bitcoin and Ethereum, is that people simply don't know about it and don't understand it yet. But that is changing. Crypto is getting smarter.
And this, to me, is one of the best opportunities I've ever seen in my lifetime. I've been looking for it. I asked to find it. I've found it. And I'm all in on it.
