I Calculated My Net Worth

I Calculated My Net Worth

I calculated my net worth today, because people have been talking about this and I've been wondering what exactly my net worth is. Now, this does not include the full picture of what my business could be worth, which makes things more interesting. However, these numbers are the hard facts. F-A-C-K, F-A-C-K, fact, fact, fact, facking, fake, man, these are the hard numbers today.

The hard numbers

I have $40,808 in assets. The largest single piece, at least $20,000 of that, is cash just sitting in my bank accounts. Then I've got about $20,000 more in crypto, which is ICP. That means the debt is stable, because debt doesn't change much day to day, but the assets can fluctuate and go up thousands of dollars or down thousands of dollars in a single day. Then there is the total amount of debt I have right now: $215,367.

Now, some of you might think this is embarrassing, and you're like, oh my God, how can you share this? And I'm like, I know most of you watching are in debt right now. That's just the statistics. I've got more debt than many of you, and I imagine, I don't know if it's most of you, but probably at least 50 or 60 percent of you have a negative net worth also, because we're in a debt-based system. The only difference is I've got the balls to say it in front of y'all. I don't have to be false or sugarcoated at all. I just get on the mic and spit it, and whether you'd like to admit it or not, I just spit it better than 90 percent of these YouTubers out there. All right, enough Slim Shady. But I've got the balls to just be like, boom, these are my actual numbers.

If you take assets minus debt, then my net worth is negative $174,560.

Where my income comes from

However, I have a business online, and I'm extremely grateful for it. In the last month, I've made at least $6,000 on my business. You can see that at jerrybanfield.com. I'm grateful for the Jerry Banfield Gaming Fan Channel, which paid $2,000 to buy the Queen video. You can see that when you're buying something on jerrybanfield.com, it meaningfully increases my net worth. A crypto project sponsored a video for $500 as well, so that's $2,500 of the income right there. I'm going to get a paycheck for well over $1,000 on YouTube this month, which is incredible, because I just started six brand new YouTube channels six months ago, and those are starting to crank in income. If I were to sell one of those, I'm not sure exactly what I could get for it, but truly my net worth is probably higher than this if you add the value of everything up.

I've also now started selling my clothes on eBay. So if you like this shirt, do you wish it was autographed and I mailed it to you? Because now you can buy this shirt that I'm wearing right now, and we just got the first bid on it. The first bid is $34.56, and we've got six more days until this auction is up. So I've got some creative income that is coming in.

The SBA loan versus the credit cards

You might wonder, well, how can you behave like this? How can you be so happy with this debt and this net worth, and what are your debt payments? So $119,000 of this debt is an SBA business loan that I got in 2020 and 2021 to bail me out, a disaster loan. That's only $600 a month in payments on the majority of this debt, and the interest rate is about 3.5%, which basically keeps up with inflation. So for the majority of this debt, in my experience, there's no reason to pay it off. I'd much rather invest back in my own business and in myself. Most of this debt is probably not going anywhere for the foreseeable future.

Now, the rest of this debt, which is more problematic, is the remaining ninety-some thousand that is on credit cards, and all of that was borrowed this year. I didn't have any credit card debt at all in 2025. I had been paying full statement balances on all my credit cards for years. I borrowed over $90,000 on credit cards this year so that I could give myself a chance to build up a business online, because if I hadn't borrowed that money, then I would have had to work a job, and I wouldn't have had time to get out here and create content like this.

What the credit card money bought

So what have I done with it? The majority of that money, the single largest percentage, has been used to pay my $2,700 a month rent. That allows me to have a beautiful YouTube studio, an entire bedroom in a 1,400 square foot house where I can film YouTube videos, and another big bedroom where I have enough room for a king bed and my kids' two twin beds that we can sleep in. It's all blacked out and a very nice room for sleeping. Then I have a yoga and front room, a furniture and sitting room in the front of my house, a giant living room, and a kitchen, in a neighborhood that I love. Thus the majority of the credit cards, which by now is at least $27,000 by itself, is just paying rent.

Some of the cash, really all of the cash at this point, has been borrowed against credit cards also. So I've taken on about $70,000 net credit card debt when you set it against my cash, and some of the crypto I bought off of credit cards too. I probably only had about 3,000 ICP before that, maybe $10,000 or $12,000 in crypto. So maybe $30,000 of my assets have come from credit. That means I've run up about $60,000 in credit card debt, minus the cash I have sitting there, because the number one thing for me is don't run out of cash. If you run out of cash, that's when things get bad. So I've got enough cash where I can keep paying all the minimum payments for the rest of the year and easily pay all the rent. I've got cash, and I have more credit. I have at least $50,000 more I could borrow on credit cards also.

How the 0% balance transfers work

Some of my credit card debt is sitting on a business credit card, where I can expense the interest, and the rest of it is on personal cards. Most of the personal cards have been balance-transferred or are on a 0% promotional APR. So I have less than a thousand dollars a month in credit card payments, which means on all this debt, I have less than $2,000 a month in minimum payments right now.

Now, starting in February or March of 2027, the first credit card's 0% APR is going to expire, and we're going to get into interest rates that are around 15% on that card. That will increase the urgency of paying some of this debt off. But at this rate, I have at least a good five or six months where I just need to print money online. If I can get up to at least $10,000 plus a month online, and I made at least $6,000 in the last month, then I can basically do one thing: just a 2X. Or the crypto can go up, or anything else can happen. Somebody could die and leave me a bunch of money. If anything happens in the next few months that can pump my income up to $10,000 plus a month, I can easily start crushing the highest interest rate credit cards. And I'm going to pay all this off. I'm going to pay all this shit off, all the highest interest rate stuff. I'll be able to just knock it out.

I think I have one credit card, the first one that I used to balance transfer, where I took cash advances off of one card and then balance-transferred to PayPal. I paid those off immediately, and then it was just 3% balance transfer fees for 0% APR for about a year. That was the first thing I did. Then I applied to several new credit cards and got a bunch of 0% APRs and balance transfers. So most of this debt is sitting there at low interest right now. I'm paying hardly any interest, or I've already paid the 5% balance transfer fees. So as long as I can start printing income in the next five months, I can start knocking out those higher interest rate cards.

My credit score is in the high 600s right now. If I can get my credit score back over 700 by paying down some of these cards, then I can grab some personal loans and knock out any of the higher interest rate credit cards that way as well. And then it's all going to work out. This is at least the third time in my life I've done this, where I borrowed money on 0% credit cards, loaded them up to the max, made enough money, and paid all of them off. Every single time it has worked out. That has been my experience, and to me, what's amazing is the story.

Why I'd rather have a negative net worth than be a target

So I'm leading by example. I think everyone should be willing to share their finances in this detail, especially if you have a negative net worth, because I get it. If you see this net worth, you might think, well, what's the advantage of having a negative net worth? The advantage is I don't have shit for you to take. If my net worth was a million dollars, then people might be like, let me get some of that. But when you have a negative net worth, it's like, well, he doesn't have shit to take. So people aren't asking me for money, except homeless people.

And I'll give. With this net worth, with this debt, I'll give a homeless person $20 every time I see them in person. I gave this one family $60 in person. They went so crazy that they literally ripped up a $20 fighting over it. Two of the kids I gave it to went sprinting off to go buy whatever they were going to buy, and the mom and the daughter ripped up a $20, and I drove off. So even with this amount of debt, I still give to other people. But I don't have a lot of people asking me for money right now, which is great.

Many of you think it would be so much nicer to have a huge, high net worth. Like, yeah, and then people will be trying to take shit from you, too. There's no amount of money you can get that other people can't take, and there's no amount of money you can owe that other people can't help you pay off. So I'm really excited.

I just heard a couple of bids come in on the auctions right now. I just got three bids on these eBay auctions, so I'm going to go look. These are bids, people. Nope, not on this one. It looks like it was the Queen one that somebody placed some bids on. So the auction for the shirt I met the Queen in is up to $40 already, which is awesome. I paid $40 for this shirt. The auction has six more days, and people are already placing bids on this. This is already getting some action. Oh my God. So I'm super grateful that I can lead by example. And is this ideal?

Why this will be an amazing story

No. I would love to have a net worth of a couple million, where I own my house outright and where I have enough to pay for practically anything I want without having to borrow on credit cards. And yet this is the reality of where I am today. But I imagine that in the future, my net worth in 2027 is going to go up a lot from here, and it's going to be an amazing story. That's what I think about. How amazing of a story is it going to be when I show off my net worth in the future, and it's plus $100,000, plus $200,000? Then I can point back to this video and say, look, I was showing my net worth when it was negative, and here's exactly what I did to get my net worth positive. But I have to start where I'm at now, and then it'll make an amazing story.

Because to me, when somebody just comes out and they're like, look how rich I am, it's like, well, what did you do to get there? I'm going to document exactly what I did to go from here to plus hundreds of thousands of net worth, and that's going to be a beautiful journey.

What I really hope to communicate here is my mindset. Do you see how I'm thinking? Am I all scared? I could have just moved into my mom's house a year ago when I got separated, and my net worth would be at least $100,000 higher than it is today. I could have just sat in my mom's house, got a job, and lived conservatively. But fuck that. I'm going all out. I'm going for it. I'm going for what I want. And if it doesn't work, fuck it. But what's going to be beautiful is when it works, and I showed you at the bottom of the rabbit hole exactly where I was at.

Talk to me

So I'm going to keep doing net worth reports every month. It's super easy to just upload everything to AI and calculate the numbers. This is where I'm at in September 2026, and I appreciate that anything you buy on jerrybanfield.com helps pump my net worth.

For example, I'm available to talk now. A guy talked with me yesterday. You can talk to me about whatever you want. I'm there to support you and to listen. If you're in debt and you're stressed, why don't you talk to me about how I'm not stressed? I'm not stressed being $200,000 in debt. I have zero stress. In fact, I think it's funny. It's funny to me, because this is entertaining. This is a good story. And I'm going to fuck that debt up. I'm going to destroy that debt, and I'm going to show you how I do it in real time.

So if you're in debt and you're all stressed out and scared, talk to me, because I'm not. And that is valuable. And then you can help me pump my net worth up.

You can also join my Skool community and DM me. I have Cameo, too. If you want to ask me questions, drop in and pay on Cameo, and I generally deliver them within 24 hours. I've got a chat right here as well.

If you want the shirt I'm wearing, you can bid on it on eBay. All of you who support me on the website directly will have leaderboard positions there. I've got a meme coin game you might enjoy, and I will have more merch coming out soon.

You can also schedule a Zoom call with me.

Thanks for watching. I'm going to keep doing these net worth reports, and you can follow every one of them on my Money playlist. I hope to see you with a higher net worth in October 2026.
