This is my vlog for September 22nd, 2026, I think. I'm Jerry Banfield, full-time YouTuber, and I'm doing this one sitting down in a chair because I had to reformat my computer yesterday after my credentials got compromised. I'm lucky I caught it in time. It was like dodging a metaphorical internet bullet, because that could have been really serious. I tried to figure out how it happened, but thankfully I realized what was going on, turned my computer off, and reformatted it. That means I've spent the entire day today, except for a yoga class, getting my computer set back up to film videos again.
I Launched a Meme Coin in 20 Minutes
Somehow I still had time to take about 20 minutes to launch a meme coin. I put $5,000 into this meme coin on Robinhood, which is Jerry, and I'll have it linked on my website officially soon. It's silly. I put $5,000 of Ethereum into the launch and bought it as soon as it launched on Robinhood, and now my net worth is up something like $15,000 in two hours. That makes the whole net worth thing seem kind of arbitrary. Did I do anything valuable? I clicked a few buttons, and now I have a meme coin on Robinhood.
I was previously opposed to this for ethical reasons. I thought, well, you shouldn't have a meme coin. Meme coins are bad. But there's already a whole bunch of people trading meme coins for cats and dogs, and there are all kinds of meme coins that are basically nothing. They're a picture of a cat with an anonymous person behind it. I finally got sensible and asked myself, why don't I just make a meme coin and put my face and my brand behind it? I put $4,000 of my meme coin into liquidity, so I'll earn fees when people swap it. Even if it's volatile and goes up and down a whole bunch, I'll be making money the whole time. I'm not opposed to making money.
What the Strip Club Taught Me About Saying Yes
I think going to the strip club the other night helped me open my mind up, because lots of times we think things are bad. Ooh, don't go to the strip club, that's bad. Well, I left feeling really good. I felt so validated by the women at the strip club. Yes, you could argue they were just there working. But you can make the same kind of transactional argument about the negative experiences I had dating this year. Maybe those women just didn't think they were going to get what they wanted from me.
It's funny, but going to the strip club felt really authentic. It was like, let's just be honest. I want what you've got, and you want what I've got, so let's help each other out. And then that opened me up to meme coins. If you're willing to spend money at the strip club, then why wouldn't you make a meme coin?
Here's what's crazy, though. If this meme coin went to a million-dollar market cap... and this is not financial advice. I cover it in more detail on my Jerry Banfield Money channel, and it could go to zero. I could lose my five grand in it. Everybody buying it could lose. I've certainly done what I could to make sure that doesn't happen, but it also could go up another 10X from here. I literally could be net-worth positive overnight from launching a meme coin, or within the next week or the next month. There are some meme coins on Robinhood that have gone to hundreds of millions of dollars. I could be a millionaire off this meme coin, and how funny would that be? It'd be hilarious, and for all the people buying meme coins, it would be more of a cause: yeah, help Jerry get out of debt, buy his meme coin. I'm not saying to do that, and I'm not saying that's what will happen.
Turning Down the Opportunities Right in Front of Us
It's amazing how sometimes we turn down the opportunities right in front of us for arbitrary reasons. I've been frustrated when women have done that with me while dating. Oh, I don't like that he's been divorced before, next. I don't like that he eats whole-food plant-based vegan, next. Oh, he does YouTube videos, I don't like that, next. I've resented being turned down for arbitrary reasons, or at least that's how it felt to me. Oh, I didn't like that story he told. There's no chemistry here. I didn't like being on the receiving end of that from women, but then I'm doing the exact same thing to myself with my own opportunities.
Literally, I just had to click a few buttons and launch a meme coin. It's not that difficult. And the President of the United States launched his own meme coin and printed billions of dollars off it. So are you going to say you're a better person with your negative net worth, or are you going to let people help you with a meme coin? What I would not do is start a GoFundMe, but I will launch a meme coin.
I already have my original meme coin. It's called JBBJ, and it's only on Internet Computer Protocol, which is pretty niche. I actually sold almost $20,000 of crypto, something like that, and put around nine grand back in the bank. My thinking was, all right, if the whole rest of my portfolio goes down, I have enough cash for the rest of the year, and I shouldn't even have to borrow anymore. I've got enough cash for the rest of the year, unless I go to the strip club every week, which I'm not going to do.
Then I decided to take the other $9,000 and put it in places where I'm personally in the best position to profit, like launching a meme coin on Robinhood, where meme coins are on fire right now, and then putting the liquidity on MaxFi, with the meme coin token only. That's where I believe I'm in the best position to profit. I can make money when it goes up, when it goes down, and all around. I make money all over the place. And I could give people a coin that's better than what they're currently using.
So I'm glad I finally got out of my own way, because I'd love to be out of debt. If making money is as easy as launching a meme coin, I'll be happy to accept it. I hope this invites you to look at the areas in your life where you could just say yes and get what you want right away. With the queen, I felt like if she had just said yes to me, she could have gotten what she wanted right away. And I kept thinking, well, I wish she'd say yes to me. Now it's more like, well, I wish I'd say yes to my own opportunities.
Yoga, Cold Approach, and Warm Signals
I went to a yoga class this morning, which was nice. I got a little sweat and a little stretch, and I wore no Jerry Banfield shirt or anything. I was rolling incognito.
Then today I watched videos of guys talking about cold approach, and then I watched other guys saying that cold approach absolutely sucks. I agree with the second group. I don't think the thing to do is to go out and try to approach random women cold. I'm big into warm approach, but I'm also done. Unless a woman is giving me pretty warm signals, I'm not cold approaching. I want some warm signals. But I am getting submissions on my jerrybanfield.com/date form, and I think I'm going to switch that to doing everything via email, because some people were trolling me on there, but maybe they don't realize how easy it is to tell they're trolling me. It's pretty easy to spot people trolling me versus a real woman on there.
Talking With Ashley Cummings
I also talked with Ashley Cummings, and we've done two live streams. We're planning on doing a live stream on my channel on Thursday, so I'm excited about that. That should be great. I've been enjoying talking to her. I've spent hours talking to her between live streams and chatting with her on the phone before live streams. It's been awesome.
What's so cool is that on Wednesday I was thinking I need to stop dating locally in person. YouTube and my loving personality just aren't triggering whatever it is. Whatever thing women think is really manly and a little dangerous and decisive, my warm heart and empathy don't seem to be triggering that for a lot of women. And even the ones who may have appreciated that then go look at my YouTube. So I'm enjoying just saying, look, I'm not doing anything in person.
Wednesday morning last week, I was like, screw this. I'm done trying to date in person. I'll go out on my last two matchmaking dates, but I give up. I give up on in person. I give up on women running into me at the yoga studio. Ironically, I kind of had this same attitude right before I met the queen, but I'm done. This is ineffective. If you keep trying the same stuff and it continues to prove ineffective, then stop.
So I watched all these cold approach videos, and then I watched these guys talking crap about cold approach. I watched a bunch of videos from a bunch of creators today. One guy's video was about how many women he could have sex with in 20 days, and he said he ended up with something like 12 different ones from Hinge, cold approaching, and old friends he tried to get back with. I don't think having sex with 12 different women in 20 days would be very satisfying. That's not what I'm looking for. I would like to just have one woman. I'd rather have sex with one woman on every one of those 12 days, because you're going to get depth there.
I don't want to waste my time texting some woman over and over. I want a woman to pursue me, because I am different. I'm not your usual man. I know lots of guys might think that about themselves, but I'm a YouTuber. My life is very public. I'm very heartfelt and authentic. I am an unusual offering for a man. A week ago I was thinking, I want a woman who will really appreciate that. And then Ashley submitted the contact form and has been talking to me since last week, and we're planning on doing something like a date stream. That's really cool.
An Abundance Mindset
It's been fun talking to her, and it's a great reminder. Sometimes I've focused so much on how annoying dating in person has been, but there's a huge world out there of people who want to talk to me, who want to have a date, and who are interested in me. It's nice to see that abundance mindset. I click a few buttons, and my net worth goes up from a meme coin. I click a few more buttons and film some videos, and I start getting opportunities to connect with women all over the world. That feels really good, and I'm super grateful to have that level of abundance and that way of thinking.
That's what I hope I'm communicating, because a lot of our problems stem from self-sabotage. I wasn't going to launch a meme coin because of my ethics, or because of a limited mind. It's the same with thinking, oh, these women in St. Pete just aren't working out. Well, why don't you expand into the whole world and see? A woman from South Africa just submitted the dating form, and how cool is that? It's so abundant. It feels fantastic, and some of it might end up being great content.
Feedback on the Dating Form
I did revise the dating form to make all the initial stuff private. I played tennis in person with one of my women friends, who is married to a woman, and she told me I should make the first contact private, because a lot of women are not going to want to jump straight into a recorded Zoom call with me. She said I can always record one later, or make that an option, but I shouldn't require every woman to do a public recorded Zoom call that will be posted to YouTube. I thought that was great feedback, and that's why we need in-person feedback.
I'm also excited to see what kind of money comes in through eBay. I've got a sweet little satin shirt on here. And I'm looking forward to filming videos on my computer again. I have the kids for an entire week before I go to Dallas for VidSummit.
Building Community on My Own Website
I really want to figure out the best long-term community option, too. I think I'm going to build something out fully on my own website. Skool's great, and it has a mobile app, but the problem with Skool is that it's still a third-party community where I could lose access to all of it one day through no fault of my own. Or I'd be getting people to pay somebody else and download their app instead of getting people onto my own website. So I might build out a more advanced version of my website soon. I've had to get my AI set up all over again on my website because I reformatted the hard drive and everything, so we'll see how this goes.
The Podcast That Went Quiet
I also had a big podcast reach out and say they were going to pay me thousands of dollars to do an episode, and then they didn't reply. They said they were going to finish things up yesterday, and I haven't heard from them today. What's funny is that if I were still married, I'd probably have been upset about this and obsessing over it. But this kind of stuff has happened so much while dating that it doesn't move me much emotionally anymore. Oh, well, maybe that'll work out, maybe it won't. No big deal.
I hope we all can do better at dating, because life is better in a relationship. Life is better when you're having sex. Life is better with a partner. And talking with Ashley this last week especially has shown me that dating is confusing and difficult no matter what side you're on. There are different confusions and difficulties depending on your side, but let's not think it's super easy to be a man or super easy to be a woman. There are different difficulties on each side, and ideally we should all be helping each other. I hope my videos help with that.
Lessons From the Creep-Off
Finally, yesterday I went on Who Are These Podcasts for the creep-off. I was a little uncomfortable with some of the discussions on there, and I realized that what has gotten me most of my audience has been my own videos. I've had a couple of other podcasts reach out to me too. I'm not big into talking about kids or animals and difficulties, stuff like that, especially in an abuse context.
So I thought about these other shows too. I'm such an honest, transparent guy. Who Are These Podcasts, Pat Dixon, and Ashley Cummings have all been pretty nice having me on their shows. But some guy reached out who wants to podcast me, and he made it clear he's not going to be nice. What? I'm not going to go on anybody's show if they're not going to be nice. And if I get uncomfortable somewhere, I can always dip. I've got kids, so of course discussions related to kids are something I'm just not big on.
The creep-off was a great learning opportunity. Watching police dash cams and stuff like that probably isn't my vibe. I'm glad they had me on, and I appreciate the experience, but that probably isn't where I'm going to shine the best. And I'm definitely not going on some podcast I've never heard of that has just been critical of me. Who Are These Podcasts has sent a ton of viewers my way, and going on there is, to me, giving back to them and getting to know them better. But some of these other podcasts have consistently been jerks, and then they want to be jerks when I come on too. No. I can make more money just doing my own videos like this. I don't need to go on anybody else's show. I have an audience myself, and my audience is growing. You can react to my videos all you want.
Who Are These Podcasts also sent hundreds of dollars for me being on there, which I'm really grateful for. At the same time, I'm not going on somebody else's podcast for free unless they have a hell of an audience and they're planning on having a friendly conversation.
Being Choosy About Other People's Shows
It's been really good this last week getting into the Dabbleverse and having people invite me on shows consistently. But I need to be choosy, because I've spent so much time recording for other people's shows in the last week. It was definitely worth it for Who Are These Podcasts, definitely worth it for Pat Dixon, and definitely worth it for Ashley Cummings. At the same time, it wouldn't be worth it for some of these other shows I don't know. I don't know how many followers they've sent my way, so maybe not. Are they planning to do any revenue share? Not that they've suggested.
So going forward, I'm going to make sure I've got videos filmed for my channels first, something like six videos a day across all my channels. If I've got videos filmed for all my channels first, then I can afford to go on other people's shows. Who Are These Podcasts, Pat Dixon, which was fun, and Ashley Cummings get exceptions. Definitely Ashley. All three of them definitely get exceptions. Other than that, I'm not eager to jump on somebody else's show unless they've got a big audience or there's a nice paycheck, like this podcast that may or may not come through for me.
They offered thousands for me to come do an episode with them, and they had a whole team of people. This is a legit podcast, on major radio networks and stuff. Maybe they researched me in more detail and thought, oh, we can't have this guy on, which is fine. It's their show, not mine. A lot of lessons learned.
What's Next
I filmed several Cameos in the last few days. If you do meme coins, check my meme coins out. Not financial advice. If you want some of my clothes, check out my eBay listings. And I think I'm going to have a Jerry Banfield community, build it all on my own website, jerrybanfield.com, and push that instead of Skool. So we'll see.
I'm going to keep doing these vlogs and keep uploading them, and I'll put clips up too. You can follow along with every day in my Daily Vlogs playlist.
