I Went Full Try-Hard on Hinge and Told the Truth About the Yoga Crush

I Went Full Try-Hard on Hinge and Told the Truth About the Yoga Crush

Filming at 10 at Night With the Mic Finally On

I'm Jerry Banfield, and this is my September 4th, 2026 vlog. One reason I sound unenthusiastic right now is that I just recorded the first six minutes of this without the mic on, at which point I yelled, "Why isn't my mic on?" Except I'm trying to stay monetized for the beginning of ad revenue, so I omitted the curse words. But I'm pretty chill. I'm filming this at 10 at night, and the big thing I did today is put up another Hinge profile.

This is me going full try-hard and trying to be extremely honest and accurate. This is my actual Hinge profile that's live now, and I wonder if this is going to work. I think it very accurately represents me, and I think it represents me in a pretty nice way. If you want to give me feedback on it, go to my website, join the chat, join the Skool community, or, I mean, you could pay to have a call with me and tell me about my dating profile. That'd be cool.

A Guy Wants to Film a Documentary of My Life

I also have a guy who was scheduled to call with me today to pitch me on having him come film a documentary of my life, which is funny. I think a lot of myself. I love myself. I'm proud of myself. At the same time, though, I'm like, do I really need a documentary of my life at this point? Is that going to be interesting enough to watch? But he's going to email me, and we'll see from there. He got me thinking, though. I'm like, that'd be cool. And I could certainly make some interesting stuff to film.

Building the Profile: Hours With the AI, a New Shirt, and Song 300

What's funny with this dating profile is I spent hours going back and forth with the AI on it. I got this shirt yesterday and took the picture at the Vinoy yesterday. I took the picture with my son a while ago, right before I deleted my last profile. I made a video on the computer against the green screen, so there's a video that plays of me dancing to my own song. I initially set it up with a Spotify background showing that the name of the song is "Song 300," which is my 300th song. It's on Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon, all that stuff. I've got over 300 songs on all those platforms, and I'm going to make some more music at some point this year. I guess if I want to release it this year, I'd better get to work. Then there's a video from a seminar I held six years ago, and a picture of me playing tennis, or at least at the tennis court.

So I think this dating profile really accurately communicates who I am and what I have to offer. According to ChatGPT's analysis, it's hitting everything. It's asking for information about the woman. It's signaling that I'm very healthy. To me, the kind of women I'm looking for, what they're going to appreciate about me is my commitment to health. I have more energy at 42 than I did at 22. That's because I'm not poisoning myself with alcohol and I'm not carrying around a whole bunch of fat all the time. I'm 12 years sober, 80 pounds lighter, and I haven't been sick in four years. That's a serious level of health. And the women who aren't healthy, I don't need to mess with them, because that's a big turnoff to me.

ChatGPT kind of came up with one of the prompts too. It says I recently discovered that dating in 2026 is two strangers meeting, telling the truth, and seeing if they can surprise each other. What could be better? Does that kind of sound like an AI prompt? It does. But I tried to write it myself, and I was flexing, because I'm like, dating in 2026 is awesome, I've never found it this easy to get this many dates with all these women in my life. And the AI is like, nah, you can't say that. You're flexing on how many women you're going out with.

I like the picture with my son because it's organic. It's a natural picture. But then I'm flexing my YouTube plaque gently in another one. I'm looking to date women who want kids. I already have kids. So you've got to flex that father energy. I took the picture at the Vinoy yesterday to signal abundance. The color goes beautifully with my skin, and the lighting is nice. I sent out the first 10 likes, and nothing back so far, which is unsurprising.

Eight Videos in One Day

I had a really nice morning today, just grinding it out. I filmed so many videos today. How many did I even film? Let me see if I can count these. I filmed my dance video too, and I tried to film this vlog earlier, but it was muted. So bad. So bad. So I filmed several dance videos for Hinge, and then I filmed a couple of crypto videos. Besides the dance videos for Hinge, I filmed one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, and this will be the eighth video I've filmed today. I filmed an hour and 41 minutes of footage today, plus those will be chopped up into shorts. I had such a nice time. I just got up today and stayed in my house all day, working, filming, eating.

I forgot to text my daughter today too, man. I thought about texting her several times, but one time she was in school, and then I forgot. I remembered to text her this morning, but then I forgot, and now she's gone to bed. She didn't really care whether I texted her or not, but she has a friend whose dad texts her every day. My daughter is 11. She didn't get to see her dad today. It's like, damn, I wish I had sent my daughter a text today just to say, hi, love you, sweetheart, have a great day, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Three Dates on the Calendar and One Third Try

The single mom who canceled on me twice, or flaked twice, I'm going for a third time. I'll see if I can go out with this woman tomorrow after my massage. At this point, I'm not that emotionally invested. It's like, you know what, I'll see if this works. If it doesn't, oh well. There's very little to lose. It's not going to break my heart if I need to figure out something else to do with my night. Then I have a date Sunday, and I have a date Tuesday, and I've got my nice new shirt. I'm wearing the same shirt on both dates. Same shirt, same outfit, both dates. Just wash it up.

Last night I went to the sober bar. What time did I film that vlog last night? I filmed at 6:38. So yeah, I went to the sober bar last night. My favorite bartender wasn't there, but there was another guy I knew from AA, so that was cool. We talked, and I left pretty quick. Then I came home and called my mom. My mom was upset because my daughter wants to take a trip with her that my mom's taking for work, but my ex said no, she doesn't want her to do that. I'm like, well, it's an out-of-state trip. Neither of us is going. I'm not going to battle my ex-wife over an out-of-state trip for my daughter with my mom.

Fight Fewer Battles, and Pick the Ones Worth Winning

As a general rule, I don't want to battle my ex unless it's truly worth it. It's better to fight fewer battles, but to go to work on something that's worth it. I'm fighting a battle right now on ICP. It doesn't seem like it's going that well so far. All my video views are plummeting and people are unfollowing, but we need to have a marketing fund on the Network Nervous System. I'm going to fight this battle. I'm tired of the community complaining about marketing and complaining about the price and not doing anything about it. I'm fighting that battle. We're going for it. Especially with people, I try not to fight battles unless they're worth winning. Most battles with people are not worth winning, especially in the long term.

Does the Queen Still Think About Me?

I've been thinking about the queen today for some reason. I'm like, does she think about me still? Does she sit there and think about me, like, it's Friday night while I'm filming this? Based on her previous dating history, I don't know whether she's dating anybody else. Odds are she's at home on her own tonight, but maybe she did find somebody else to date. I wonder if she still thinks about me, though. I sure still would love for her to actually end up being the queen. That would be cool. But then again, I'm going to go out with these three women I've got dates scheduled with. You've got to keep moving. Life moves on.

I'd Love to Talk to You

The guy who talked to me today about the documentary said he subscribes to all six of my YouTube channels and has watched a ton of my videos, and it was really nice to talk to him. For those of you who watch a lot of my videos, I'd love to talk to you, so I can put a face to you, because I don't know you. When I talk to you, it helps me understand who I'm talking to. On my website, you can schedule a call with me. I also have an instant-call option I forgot to turn on, where if I'm available, I push a button on my website and you can just drop in and talk to me for a few minutes. Very affordable.

The biggest difference that makes is that a guy from the Netherlands popped in one day and just FaceTimed me, and he's like, nice to meet you, here's where I live, here's my life. I love that. I love that. And I would love to get to know you better. Who are you? Why do you watch my videos? You just pop in and say hi.

You can also join the Skool community and post an introduction and a picture. I would love to get to know each of you better. I'm grateful there are so many of you watching my vlogs now. Why do you watch? What's interesting about you? What is your life like? What are the things I talk about that you vibe with? Do you think this Hinge profile is going to work?

Profiles on Every App, and My Brutal Hinge Commentary

I'm going to put up profiles on Bumble, Tinder, Match, and, what's the other one, Facebook Dating. I'm putting profiles up on all of them. And I'm wondering, is there anything I can upgrade on this that will keep it authentic? To me, this is a really authentic, good-looking profile. At some point, some woman is going to match and want to go out with me that I actually want to go out with.

Dude, you should hear my commentary, though, on Hinge. It's so brutal. I should film some stand-up comedy. I should film some comedy going through these profiles. Hinge's algorithm is so ridiculous. It has this woman who's in Orlando that it is just sure I'm going to want to message. I mean, she's five foot nine, she wants kids, she looks beautiful, but she's in Orlando. That's an hour and 20 minutes away, and she's active now. Really, what are the odds? There's no way. There's just no way. And she says her life goal is to not prioritize her career but to devote herself to her husband, children, and a home. I can picture dudes not messaging her over that, like, nope, I need a woman to pay the bills for me. Hey, hey, hey. What are the odds, Hinge? You think this is going to work out for me, Hinge? I went into Hinge and set the filters to just a few miles away, like nine miles.

I've got to film some comedy going through these Hinge profiles. The things I say out loud are so brutal. I'm not going to say them on YouTube in public, but it's just like, oh, she's hot. Dang, 21. All right. "I go crazy for masked men and bikers." 21. Nah, I mean, she's pretty, but nah. That's not going to work. Oh, all right, look at you. I swear. Oh, it's you again, dude. I've been off and on Hinge all year, and it's like that song, everywhere we go, I see the same faces. Just sitting on Hinge all year. How are there so many dudes on Hinge and you ain't found one yet? How? If I was a woman, I mean, this woman's pretty. How have you not found a guy on Hinge? There are so many guys on Hinge. It makes me wonder, are you getting paid to just sit on here and catfish dudes or something? And she's active today.

And this woman I've sent a like to got a new first profile picture, which is so bad. She's pretty, so she didn't have to try, but it's a profile picture in a mirror. Meanwhile, I'm going to the Vinoy, buying a new shirt, and I gave the hotel employee a $20 tip for taking a picture of me. This is the stuff I've got to do as a man to even have a chance, and a woman just takes a profile picture in a mirror, like, here's my crappy picture in a mirror, but I'm hot, so you're going to like me anyway. "Simple pleasures: coffee, clean sheets, and a good book. My love language is quality time. Let's make sure we're on the same page about faith." And she doesn't drink, she doesn't smoke, and she's ignored, or has not seen, because you don't know, my like every time on every profile. I guess I shouldn't say too much more information about her. The last time I probably said, hey, insert name, what are you reading?

Uncensored Comedy MP3s on My Website?

This is comedy. Maybe I'll try putting some comedy on my website one day, where I just record what I'm saying as I'm looking at these Hinge profiles and cut the silence. It's so good. I'm just not saying it on YouTube. But if you want some comedy, let me know in the chat, in the Skool community, or on a call. Let me know you want some uncensored material. I have some uncensored, very dark stuff that will make you wish for Anthony Jeselnik, Bill Burr, and Louis C.K., because I get darker and crazier since I'm doing this thing on my own and I don't have to run what I'm saying by anybody else. I'm thinking of putting some of the MP3s of those on my website. I haven't gotten around to it. Let me know if you think that'd be a good idea.

Alcohol Versus Video Games as an Addiction

I love filming videos. I was kind of tired before I started filming this, but just getting in front of a camera and talking energizes me. I was talking to a guy tonight, too, about video games and dating apps as addictions, and alcoholism. Alcohol is one of those things I'm never, ever going to be able to drink, or try to drink normally. That's alcoholism. Alcohol, never. First drink, first sip, never, never. There's no hope that that's ever going to go well.

Video games, at various points in my life, I thought I was addicted to. It turns out, no. At various points, I played too many video games, but I'm not addicted to video games. I can play video games casually. In fact, today I was like, I want to play some video games, and I didn't even get around to it. I still want to play some of that Star Trek: Voyager, Across the Unknown or whatever it's called. I still want to play that today, but by the time I shower, it's going to be time for bed. I've got an AA meeting first thing in the morning, then I've got my kids, then I've got a massage, then hopefully I'll have a date. And if not, I'll just film videos and do some toxic title about how she canceled twice, so I thought it'd be a good idea to schedule a third time, and then she canceled that time too.

But here's what's interesting about tomorrow. I mean, I still could get laid tonight. The odds of it are low, but who knows? I could be getting laid tomorrow night, for all I know. I could have a great time out on this date. I could meet the love of my life on Sunday or Tuesday.

Tuesday Yoga Crush

I did a song called "Tuesday Yoga Crush." I should remake that song. I should have just done it. I had a crush on this woman at yoga, and she really liked me. I should have just investigated that. Definitely. At the time, it seemed like a good idea to be faithful to my wife, and maybe it was. But then I get divorced two years later, and it's like, I might as well have been with this girl from yoga. She was so hot, and we had so much chemistry. It was crazy. The chemistry I had with this woman at yoga, who was in a relationship with another woman and knew I was married, was more than I had with the woman I was married to. I was crazy. I thought about her every day for a year.

I would talk to her in my head, and the conversation had gotten to the point in my head where she's like, I'm not going to see you until you're ready to leave your wife. Then the day I was ready to leave my wife, which turned out to be a few months before I was really ready, we had just gotten back from a trip, a day of arguing and the silent treatment. I get home, I'm walking the dog, and I have this thought: now you're ready to see me. I was like, holy shit, really? The next day, after not seeing her for years at yoga, she was there. I was like, holy shit. The thought I had that now you're ready to see me, and she's there the next day.

I went up and said hi to her. She remembered me. She gave me a big hug. Her girlfriend was standing right next to her. And then she's like, what's your name again? I'm like, oh, oh no. It was like a dagger in my heart. So it's funny how at some point in your life you think everything is so certain and it looks so right. Yes, the right thing to do is be faithful to your partner. And now I'm like, that was probably the right thing to do, but not definitely. That was not definitely the right thing to do. It probably was a nicer divorce because I was faithful.

Loading Out of One Life and Into Another

But maybe I'm going to wake up and play that other scenario out. I'm a big believer that you can have whatever experience you want, because when you go to bed, you're essentially just loading out of a video game, and then you're loading in again the next morning. I've loaded out into other lifetimes, other bodies, other beings, other planets, all kinds of stuff in my dreams. Then I come back, and I feel like I've just played a whole bunch of other video games and then put this one back on.

I also believe that if I really wanted to wake up in a parallel universe where the queen and I were together, or, and this is kind of messed up, one where my ex-wife and I were still together, or one with this woman from yoga, at some point I could play all those scenarios out if I wanted to. And at this point, the more I go on, the more scenarios I want to play out. I could get stuck in this life for a thousand years. I could be stuck in this body as Jerry Banfield and live a thousand years just going through all these different scenarios. What if things had worked out with the dispatcher? What if they worked out for a while and then got toxic? I just want to play out all these scenarios. I think when you pass, or when you fall asleep, you can slip into one of those other realities and wake up in it. The funny thing is, you wouldn't know the difference. You might have a slight sensation that maybe you were somewhere else before. In some cases, I even remember the other lifetimes I was living in between coming back to this one. And I feel a sense of relief when I come back to this one. Oh, good. It's nice to play this one again.

Step Three, and Why I Don't Pray to Anybody but Myself

I was at my AA meeting tonight, and the lead was talking about how the only thing her sponsor said about step three, made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him, was, as long as you know you're not God. I'm like, see, don't mess me up with that, because I am God. This is my reality. I'm creating everything. Now, from your point of view, you are me and I am you and we are all God, and you are creating from that point of view. But from my point of view, you don't exist as more than numbers on a screen. I still feel your existence, and I'm creating you, but I'm creating you the same way you are creating me. Does that make any sense? I'm not this body. This body is not creating me. The I that is creating this body is also creating you and creating everything all at once. That's who I am. That's who you are. That's who all of us are. I don't pray to anybody besides myself. My prayers are like, you've got this, bro. You've got this.

I've Never Looked This Good, and the Photos I Still Have

And I'm like, damn, why do I look so good now? I just look over at the profile, and I'm like, dude, I don't think I've ever looked this attractive before. A picture like this should work to get me some quality women, because this face and this body work in person to pick up beautiful women like the queen. I wish I could show you some pictures. But while she couldn't do anything about me selling that video for $2,000, she could do something about me showing photos of her. I've got photos of her on my phone, and sometimes I think, you know what, maybe I should delete these photos. Then when I'm texting a woman, I'm like, let me get this woman to send me some photos, so I have a souvenir. Such beautiful photos. Just beautiful. Smiling in her car. That one week where everything was going right with her. It's all good.
