If you want to be hyped about ICP, what I'm about to share is the most exciting thing I've experienced using the ICP blockchain since I first discovered it. If you want concrete proof of how incredible this technology is today and how big of a deal it's going to be, this post is for you, because unlike the majority of crypto stuff — which is useless price charts, hype, and speculation — I'm going to show you what I'm actually building on the ICP blockchain, and you can see how genuinely excited I am. It is incredible what I can do.
Up until now, in my experience, ICP has been mostly irrelevant in crypto because the tech has been too advanced. DFINITY has not been paying everybody to shill it, and the technology has been so advanced that it's been difficult for people to use. People like James Allen got very frustrated — no developer support — left, and went to Casper. There's a game changer now. Using Claude Fable, what you can build — and what I've been able to build directly on ICP — is blowing me away. I've dreamed of building this.
Look what I've built at jerrybanfield.com. Look at this website and what it can do. This is what almost nothing in crypto has: it does not shock people with what the technology can do. I don't know another way to build something like this that would be so secure, so hard to mess with, so cheap — and have both Stripe and crypto payments integrated. The new jerrybanfield.com is now a complete business all on one website. Up until now, jerrybanfield.com has just been funneling people to go somewhere else.
My Own Version of OpenChat, With No Middleman
Because Claude Fable is so advanced and it integrates directly with the ICP command line interface, I've been able to build my own version of OpenChat directly on chain on my own website. I love OpenChat, but I don't like having some third party that I still have to be accountable to. Now, for the first time ever, I have my own website with no third parties. I have a community chat — just me, on my website. Nobody else to censor it. Nobody else to look at my messages or my data. This is me and just my people. I wanted to build something like this with Caffeine AI a few months ago, but they were using a less advanced model on the back end to build everything, and it was so slow. Claude Fable built all of this out for me in a few hours.
This is so amazing what this can do. I've been a technology nerd for my entire life, and I have dreamed of being able to have something like this for 15 years. Do you understand how difficult it was to get a website up without being able to code 15 years ago? Do you understand that even now, with AI, using these other vibe-coding platforms, you can't build stuff like this? Because this is built on ICP, you've got ICP payments, and you can trust it because it's on the blockchain. I wouldn't build something like this with Lovable or Replit, because in my experience I wouldn't trust it to actually work all the time. It would be too easy to hack all my data, I could easily be banned off the platform, or they could scale my expenses up anytime they wanted to depending on my usage. And I literally didn't even pay anything to put this up — I put up a new canister and maybe paid less than a dollar. This is nuts. Let me walk you through all the stuff this can do, and I'm just warming up.
First, I built jerrybanfield.com/chat. This is my own version of OpenChat, but there's no OpenChat. It's my website. It's my domain. The money comes directly to me. No third parties in the middle, no other tokens in the middle. Only Internet Identity, sign in with Google, or Apple. You don't even have to do anything with crypto at all to use this — but if you have ICP, you can also pay with ICP. This is what nothing else in crypto has. You cannot build something like this anywhere else. And if I wanted to, I could also accept payment in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDC — maybe I'll add that in. At this point it doesn't seem worth it, but I could accept payments in all of those.
So check out this functionality. On my website, if you want lifetime access to the chat — just me and just other people on my website, finally with no middleman — you can click pay with Stripe. That takes you to a Stripe payment link where you put your credit card in, it sends you back to the website, and you now have access to the chat at jerrybanfield.com/chat with nobody else in the middle. The problem with everything else is that when I build on some third-party platform, either I'm at risk of getting banned or I'm beholden to them, where they can censor me and they make the rules. This is the first time I've been able to make something where I've totally cut out the middleman. Do you see how important that is? So you can pay with Stripe, and you can also pay with ICP — just click pay with ICP, it lets you pay for lifetime access with ICP, and from there you've got access to the chat. But there's deeper functionality than that.
Book a Call — or Talk to Me Right Now
I still have my one-on-one calls, and you can book a call with me through a link right on the site.
And I've got another new thing I've been able to build because this is fully on ICP, where I've been able to just easily change the site to add it. Some of you don't want to wait 24-plus hours to talk to me. You have something urgent you'd like to talk about right away, and you'd be willing to pay for that if I was available. So I have an option in my admin dashboard where I can go in and click that I'm online. When I'm online, you can go to jerrybanfield.com, click on pay with Stripe for the urgent-call option, and come back. You give me your phone number, your WhatsApp, or your email if you want to do Zoom, and then you'll get a call from me generally within 10 minutes of you paying. Same thing here — you can pay with ICP also. That gets you talk-with-me-now for 30 minutes. I can just set that I'm online while I'm doing work or while I'm filming videos, and then you have instant access to me. I'm testing to see if I can use talk-to-me-now to replace my monthly Zoom plan, and I may even be able to cut out my Zoom membership too.
I also still have my Skool community, which is still the only way to DM me. And I'm testing to see if someday I can cut Skool out also and just do everything on my website. But that's not everything.
A Store for Anything I Want to Sell
This is just the beginning. With what I can build, I can sell anything I want to. For example, I'd like to be able to sell a Jerry Banfield silver medallion for like $300. It would have a picture of my face on one side and an infinity symbol on the other side, and it would be a real silver coin. Maybe not $300 — maybe like $200. Imagine getting a silver coin in the mail that would continue to appreciate with time and that would have my name on it. I could put my face on one side and say Jerry Banfield, and then on the other side I could put whatever I wanted. I could sell that. I could sell a day with Jerry Banfield on here. I could sell my comedy MP3s. Anything I think I want to sell, I'm going to put all of it on this website. I've just started this — Claude just built this out yesterday — and I'm going to throw every single thing I want to sell all on here, all cutting out third parties. Do you understand what a big deal that is?
Games on the Same Website
But not just that. I also have my games, and my games are now on the exact same website at jerrybanfield.com/games. Here's one I haven't shown off publicly before: it's called the Dream Life Island Spark Hunt. It's made to be a little Minecraft-style game where you can drive around in a little golf cart on a little fantasy island. So I can now build games on my website and sell them. Do you understand how big of a deal that is? I can use AI to build them — I've got this crypto-mafia-style game I want to build, based on a game I played before but with a crypto mafia theme. I can put in my own sound effects and everything I want. The whole game will be on my website, and then I can sell access to the game directly with Stripe payments and ICP payments, directly on my website. I can now just build anything I want to and sell it on my website.
I can sell video courses on my website too. If they're compliant with YouTube, I can host them as unlisted YouTube videos — which is not the best setup, but it still means I can sell online courses on my website now. Games, courses, comedy, chat, community — all of it, straight on my website.
Profiles, a Leaderboard, and Maybe a Social Network
On top of all that, when you spend money on my website, you have your own profile. You get a profile URL directly on my website — if you go to /@jerrybanfield on my site, you can see mine — and everybody gets their own. I can build this out and turn it into a social network, where everybody has their own profile and you can link your own social medias on there if you want to. I can now build my website out as a Jerry Banfield social media website: a store, a social media website, browser games, and content in any format — videos and blog posts. I can get traffic to this with the thousands of blog posts that I already have, so I'm able to bring organic search traffic onto one single domain. And in theory, one day I could even just upload my videos directly to this.
When you spend money on anything, it then gets counted on the public leaderboard — there's nobody on there yet, and I still need to test some of this functionality to make sure it all works. I'd certainly appreciate it if any of you want to test it; I just set this up and I've been testing it. Then I've got t-shirts — Amazon actually removed my design because I need to prove to them that I'm the real Jerry Banfield and not ripping off Jerry Banfield, which, okay, I guess I understand that, Amazon. I'm going to have Claude put a very clear contact-me link on the site in case anything doesn't work — if you pay with ICP or you pay with Stripe and it doesn't work for some reason, you'll be able to tell me. And obviously, if you're in the Skool community, that's a super easy way to tell me that also.
But here's the bottom line: this technology is a huge deal. Do you understand how much money I'm saving? Do you understand that there's, like, no other way for me to build all this stuff in the world right now? How else would I have crypto payments integrated, and games, and my own social media? And do you understand how easy this was to create? This is incredible technology, and it's only getting started.
Content creators have so much to gain here, because in my experience content creators right now are getting absolutely ripped off by all these third parties taking everything in the middle. For example, Udemy.com: I made them millions and millions of dollars. They paid me six hundred and some thousand dollars, and then they banned me — because I was taking over their whole website, and I pissed off the trust and safety team by criticizing their policies and the things they were doing, by showing that I was making ten times as much money as all of them were working at their jobs, and by showing everybody else exactly how to do it: paying people in Eastern Europe to make courses super cheap, then marketing them on YouTube and using Google ads. I brought Udemy.com an insane amount of value, and the way I see it, they just pimped me out. They gave me a small percentage of the value I brought in, then banned me, and then they got to keep all the value I brought. And I lost massively.
Same thing with Facebook gaming. I brought in tons of people to Facebook gaming, and then Facebook demonetized me when I attacked the matrix of their little narratives. And then the same thing with all these crypto coins — I hyped and promoted all these coins, and in my experience they ripped me off and ripped my audience off. Now, for the first time, nobody's ripping me off. Nobody's pimping me out anymore. And this is only possible because of AI plus ICP.
AI Plus ICP Is the Game Changer
This is the game changer. I believe ICP plus AI is a combination that is going to go nuts. Why? Because of this: other content creators and influencers all over the place are getting pimped out and ripped off just like I have. From now on, everybody all the time is going to jerrybanfield.com. I'm going to set up sponsorships, where if you want me to talk about your coin, you'll be able to buy that on jerrybanfield.com. If you want to pay to have me do a happy birthday video for you, that'll be like twenty dollars, probably — that'll be here on jerrybanfield.com. You want an envelope that has a letter from me to you, and it's signed? I'll offer that on there. I can offer anything I want. I can make any games I feel like. I can have the chat totally mine, without having to get people to go sign up for OpenChat or for Discord or for Telegram or for Skool. This is so big.
This is what I would call critical mass. Lots of times in life — like with NVIDIA, as I said yesterday — NVIDIA didn't really hit until AI came along. NVIDIA was certainly profitable and grew for a long time, but once AI hit, there was a whole other level of need for that kind of computation. And that's what's happened with AI and ICP. In my opinion, ICP is the infrastructure — the best infrastructure to build on — and now AI eliminates the need for a developer. And even if I build this more and more advanced and occasionally hit a snag, I can just pay a developer and say, look, figure out what's going on with the AI and the code here.
I've tried so long and so hard to build so many things, and the single milestone was always getting a developer, because developers have to be paid thousands and thousands of dollars for them to build anything. In my opinion, that's been the main thing holding ICP back: developers didn't know how to build on it. But now you don't need a developer — AI can build it. Think about the implications of this. People right now are already building their own crypto exchanges on ICP with AI. Their own DeFi platforms on ICP. You could build something like Tagger — and in my experience, Tagger totally ripped me off. They ripped Blockchain Pill off. They took so much from us. The insiders dumped a whole bunch of their money and crushed the price, and meanwhile we promoted it and made hardly anything. This eliminates the need for me to ever promote something like Tagger again, because I've got my own chat, sitting right here on my website, with no third party in the middle. I get all the money from it.
Why I Wouldn't Trust This Anywhere Else
If you're not hyped about ICP after seeing this, I don't know what else to tell you. This is the opposite of speculation. This is me being blown away by what the technology can do — and in my experience, no other technology supports this kind of building today, because I wouldn't trust anything else to build this. I couldn't build this with some vibe-coding platform, because as many haters as I have, some hater would just destroy it with hacking, and who knows what they'd put on it. If I built this with AI somewhere besides ICP, some hater could just go in and swap adult images onto my website and then try to get my website banned and stuff. That's the kind of stuff you could do on these other vibe-coding platforms. You can't do that here, because it's on the ICP blockchain. Because it's sitting there on chain, you have to go through the blockchain to change the code. You can't just go around and try to slip into the infrastructure sideways, or replace some link, or trick the Lovable sign-in. That's why this is such a big deal. The AI could physically build this on another platform, but it wouldn't be trustworthy.
And then there's scaling. Right now, all I have to do is pay a few hundred dollars in cycles, and I could take a hundred thousand-plus people coming through this website — playing the games, buying stuff, posting in the community, uploading images. That's something that would break one of these other vibe-coding platforms, even if it didn't get broken otherwise. This infrastructure is a huge deal, and I invite you to go try it at jerrybanfield.com and see for yourself — because blessed are those who believe without seeing, but you don't have to be like that.
Everything Is in Position
When you see what my website can do, you'll realize other people are going to be this excited. Other content creators with bigger audiences are going to build out their own platforms and cut out all the middle people who are making huge amounts. Imagine somebody who, instead of a few thousand followers like me and a few hundred thousand views on YouTube, has ten or a hundred times as many followers as me. They build out, they send hundreds of thousands of people to their website, their website burns cycles, and then they tell other people. Everything is in position.
